Acid + painkillers? lol

sorry for the weird topic but i guess im getting my wisdom teeth removed like 10 or 11 days before i do acid (maybe) and im getting painkillers for the.. pain and i was wondering if doing acid while on pain killers would be bad? i have a choice between shrooms and acid so what should i do?
i dunno how strong the pills will be though so yeah

 

no its fine i snort oc's when i come off the peak...makes my brain feel a bit less loopy. OC's + weed+ a few beers at the end of an acid trip is awesome

 

Personaly, i wouldnt, but nothing really is bad on acid.

 

I suggest not to take them at all. You would never need to use them on acid because the pain will not bother you on acid.

 

I would have to disagree. I remember feeling like i messed up my ankle real bad when i was on acid. Wasnt really injured, but i know pain can be real annoying and busskillish on it.

 

If your surgeon is decent, in 10 or 11 days the pain will be a distant memory. My mouth only hurt for two days, but I was in a drugged up haze so i didn't notice haha. In ten days you might have a little bit of chipmunk-style swelling left but thats about it. What kinda painkillers are the giving you? I got 5mg Oxycodones from the kind doctor.

 

I just dont believe in the power of painkillers. Instead of being called painkillers, they should be called soul killers. I know what wisdom tooth pain is, I got addicted to cocaine for a month because nothing would work to dull the pain. I didnt know that the coke would addict me if I just used it to numb the tooth but I was wrong. I know plenty of people who started out in their addictions because they were prescribed supposed painmeds. Two of them are now ruined. If you take enough acid, your brain wont percieve pain, or anything worldly at all. If you take enough, you wont need any painmeds that day, and hopefully ever again. Just my opinion though and I am honestly just trying to help.

 

Well painkillers in moderation are ok. Basically everything in moderation is ok. (putting your hand in a fire for a few seconds here and there won't leave you dead or even burned if you are fast)


The thing is, many people don't have the willpower to keep some 'in moderation'. If you have a weak will, are easily addicted, or are trying to find an 'escape' (one and the same??), then stay away from psychically addicting substances. If you have that kind of personality, you will probably become mentally addicted to something else instead, but mental addictions aren't nearly as deadly as physical ones.

Painkillers are nice if used here and there, but not on any regular basis. I'll use them once a month or even less, it just depends on the mood. If you are taking them to combat pain, well just be VERY careful!

 

Atleast it won't be dangerous, but when the painkillers wear off the pain might be exagerated by the trip, and that wóuld be a problem I think. If you don't take them on the same day I'm sure you'll be fine by the way.

 

Take the painkillers a few hours before you trip. Just dont put so much thought into and you will be fine.

You won't be in pain more than a day or two. He won't give you enough pills to last 11 days anyway. More like a couple days worth of pills. For the record, I dont think 15 year olds should eat acid.

 

Well the painkillers may just take your nervousness away.

A bad trip sometimes happens when you think about bad trips, or are extremely paranoid of one and over-think it. I don't even think bad trips are real at all. Your consciousness is expanded, you think from different perspectives.. If you are nervous, the perspective will probably be in a negative/paranoia form.. that probably isn't even necessary and just the drug taking it's first set of effects. Actually half the time, people get so worked up about having a bad trip, that simply popping the paper puts them in one already, because they think of it so much and now that they popped the paper, they start getting even more paranoid.

It's weird, but it usually ends up okay if your come up is just pure laughter, and you can make a joke out of fears, you'd be fine.

 

For the record, probably around 75% of my psychedelic trips for last 6 years have involved painkillers before, during, and after a trip. But then again I was a morphine junky, so dont take my advice on that :tongue:
It wont interfere with your trip if you take a light dose. 10-20mg's. Unless you are prone to have your stomach upset from opiates. If you take a large dose, besides the nausea you may weaken the visuals, but not by much.
And as is said here already, wisdom tooth pain first of all does not even hurt like people make it out to be, and if its done right you wont even remember after 2-3 days. I had all four of mine severley impacted, they gave me 2 vicodin scripts before the surgery because I was in so much pain, but after the surgery they said "you should still have some left, we cant give you anymore." So I was left without any medication immediatley after having all four removed, and I went to work and I took care of my son that night. Cooked dinner, cleaned the house, put him to bed etc. You be fine -

 

is drinking before/while tripping make the trip les intense or anything?
iv drank a few time before/while dosing and i dont know if it effects it very much, but my buddy says it does. anybody know?

 

Drinking during your trip can descrease the effects, it depends how much you drink. But I've noticed, not with LSD but with mushrooms, a few times I drank whiskey and had a strong buzz right before eating mushrooms and the trip was basically a spinning, painful mess of confusion and regret lol. But it depends on how much you drink of course. A beer or two during an LSD trip will not kill the effects, but can easily put a lite blanket between your eyes and the stars. But, one of them blankets with holes in it that you can kind of see through

 

okay, because the last time i tripped (last weekend) while i was tripping, a lot of shit happened that could have caused a really bad trip especially if i had taken more tabs, but i had mabey 3 shots before i ate the doses and i think that made me more relaxed and less stimulated by the acid. i was jsut wondering because im eating like 4 or 5 tabs this weekend and want to drink a little before hand and didnt want to waste my money.

when i first had to get a tooth removed it made me cringe when i heard it crack and ever since im like nervouse to go lol

I would take them if your worried about it. You have to pop like 7 of them to get high. Eating one or two as recomended by your docter will assure that no uncomfortable sensations caused by your surgery will affect your trip. Plus, no ill effect will come from combining the two drugs so why not have that extra sense of security

 

i disagree. i thought that maybe i could trip without thinking about the pain and i was wrong. the pain completely consumed me for a couple of hours and i was on three hits of strong stuff.

if the pain killers will take away your pain it might be a good idea. otherwise you might have a difficult trip not being able to get past your pain and that would suck.

i talked someone who just sprained their ankle into doing mushrooms anyways because i thought they could just forget the pain if they wanted to. well they had an excruciatingly painful trip and he sure made me feel bad about talking him into it.
