I am looking for either a website, or someone overseas that has any hook-up to some absinthe....been looking for awhile, but am trying to avoid going to a website to spend $40 just to ship the shit...

which site did you use...most of the ones I've seen have a higher shipping price than that take into consideration the weak US dollar to Euro exchange rate.

You can buy Absinthe (The Green Fairy) in any good alcohol shop. However there is a catch. You will notice that most of the stuff will not have the active ingredient that makes proper Absinthe, which is called ''Wormwood''. When buying the stuff, always look to see if it has wormwood in the ingredients. I can buy Absinthe in the UK for £20 ($38), with wormwood for about ¾ of a litre.
I love Absinthe... I drink it, underage in the states. course not enough to get full effect, small bottle. Course I do want more... and it tastes like liccorece... anyone else see that?
Yeh, it has and Aniseed taste and your meant to pour it over sugar in a special Absinthe spoon at it turns to an opaque green colour. Van Gogh drank loads of it, probably what turned him mad.
Van Gogh cut off his ear, no one really knows if it was because of Absinthe that made him do it or if he was just mad anyway. Absinthe back then was more powerful and lethal and life expectancy was at a low age because of people drinking it.
Your probably right. I was recently in Amsterdam and you can buy the herb Wormwood from the head/smart shops there. I didn't buy any as I spent all I had on Skunk instead. LOL Next time I'm going I'm to get some. Very curious to see if it works. It's supposed to make you all warm a fuzzy and feeling really contented and really happy.
I really want a bottle or two, but the shipping would probably kill me...but maybe that would be good, because they would need to wrap it tight, and make it able to withstand a beating during shipping. I wonder what kind of shit I'd get into if U.S. Customs investigated my package at the border, and found it?
Not sure, you better check that one out. Are you 100% sure you can't get it from your own country. I know it's powerful stuff but it's only because of the alcohol content.
Had no idea it was that controlled over there, then again the USA policy on marijuana is fairly Draconian too, IMO. If you ever get to visit Amsterdam, they have a pub/bar dedicated to Absinthe, also Northern Spain is another good place for the real stuff. All the best in your pursuit.
i remember reading somethin just recently about sweden... maybe dont quote me on where.... but one of the european area counties past a law allowing the original amount of wormwood that use to be in absinthe originally.... but most places like the UK and Germany have limitations on the amount of wormwood is in absinthe
IF you make your own, please note that the American wild wormwood and the European wormwood are different, one being highly toxic. Also, homemade Absinthe tastes terrible!!!! Flat out nasty, "...like french kissing Death in the morning after he binged with Keith Richards..." kind of nasty.
