I do see both sides. I understand why the op is so upset and I completely get where Roor is coming from. But a fetus is a part of the woman's body until it passes through the birth canal. It lives inside of her and therefore its the woman's decision.

Unfair, yes, but its reality.

a fetus is a LIVING, breathing, human being. It may not be technically "born" yet, but it is co-dependently ALIVE. You call it a "womens choice" to make one feel better about the reality of it.

In reality, you support a womens "right" to DENY an infant of the life that he/she has been given.

It's like back in the day, when any guy could accuse any women of being a "witch," and have her killed just due to speculation. Yes, legalized murder!!!

Like it or not, you support the inhuman act of killing infants, before they're able to defend themselves or beg for their life!! It's a sick, cruel and, disgusting act of killing a being that's more innocent than any of us!!! More innocent than the doctor even!!!

Picking fights and reaching for confirmation bias is not going to do you any good. It's obvious from watching your posts degrade into an emotional mess.

Im not starting stuff with anyone. I was talking to 3 people only, and one of them said I was "whining" for expressing how I feel. I'm not picking a fight with anyone... I said kid's mom should've had an abortion (Since he's so gung-ho about them) and all of a sudden I'm "Low."

StplSD25, vent here all you want. Express any damn thing that comes to mind. See what unfolds, and who is inspired to comment. It's far more therapeutic to engage variations of thought, then have a counselor profess that a woman's body is her own.

I have a counselor. She's really an addiction counselor, but Ive talked to her about this. She agrees with me, that partial birth abortions are cruel..But that's a matter of opinion.

 

And that's where thinking about it for even a few seconds, to decide how they feel, and sticking with that, comes in. It's not one of those things where sure, it's murder, until you actually might have a baby, then it's okay to murder it, because you're not all those OTHER women who you'd call murderers..... no no, you have an ACTUAL problem, unlike them.

Again, if you read my post, I didn't say anything against abortion. Just hypocracy. And the idea that fathers should have no say here, even though it's THEIR child, and before that, THEIR fetus, and THEIR responsibility. So yeah, they should have a say one way or another, and if this is a matter that has been discussed before hand, any agreement should be legally binding within reason.

STP, I'm going to say again, that's a fucking lie. This time it's only an implied lie, but it's still a lie. Whatever happens to anything's brains, it's already dead, it must be killed by injection before the abortion begins.

"partial birth" means ABSOLUTLY NOTHING, it's just a buzzword. And in most situations, I agree with you, late term abortions are unnecessany in most situations, and if it's not medically mecessary, by the time of 7 months pregnancy, yeah, adoption should be on the table if you don't want a kid.

But I still remain about 0.2% convinced that she actually had one. People trying to hide pregnancy are probably going to have an abortion before they're totally fucking obviously pregnant as fuck, for one thing.

 

That's a good start. Ask her about grief counselling. You don't need someone to agree with you, you need someone that can help you get through the loss of your child. Therapists are specialized for a reason. The grief councillor will have different ways to approach your grief than the addiction lady.

Well that's just it. I may not believe that a fetus is a child but I see that you do and that your suffering needs to be treated as such in order to heal. Perception is reality when it comes to trauma.

 

It's not really about finding fault. Everyone was just saying that you do have to take responsibility for your actions. You had unprotected sex with someone who does not share the same moral code. You made choice to do that and now you have to deal with the consequences.

I don't really know why she even told you she was pregnant and getting an abortion anyways.
