Tonight while flipping through the channels, I happened to land on "Family Guy" just as Stewie was asking an old - well, ancient hooker: Is there any tred on the tire or would it be more like throwing a hot dog down a hallway? Just at this point, my mother was walking past, heard the quote and asked me to explain the joke. I kind of fumbled a bit and weakly claimed I didn't understand the punchline. I don't think she believed me, she saw me laughing. I have two questions. 1. How could this be handled differently? 2. Has anybody explained a dirty/sexual joke to a parent/grandparent?
My wife and mother-in-law just walked in and asked my what happened after I literally fell off my chair laughing. Not being able to speak for the hysterical laughter and tears, I pointed to the monitor. They didn't get it either. Guess you just have to be here And to answer your 1st question, there's no way to handle it .....
