k, to start off here..i'm not trying to be an asshole, i'm not trying to be rude or push things onto ppl, this is just what i think, and i belive others on here should seriously try. STOP SMOKING WEED i dont care what u need it for, how it improves your life etc. When u have been dependant on it for a long time, and ppl around u only know you for the high/burn out state u are in, somthing is wrong....but thats far from the point The last time i smoked weed was mid august, it was when me and some friends were camping, we bought a quarter, and smoked occaisonaly through the trip, on the last morning i probably had a little over an 8th left, i was sitting in front of the fire looking at the weed and just thought to myself...fuck it..this shit is holding me back, and i tossed the bag into the fire. Best desicion ever. Since then i've been going to the gym, eating healthy, improving my health over all, and just feeling fucking good, i finnaly know what it's like to go All day without being tired, get pretty much any amount of sleep, and feel refreshed, and be able to show my true emotions/personality to people around me, not some stoned version. Now for some of you, u may think this is all BS bla bla bla, i'm fine i'm living my life with weed, it's the way u like it...trust me, if u are just using it to fill time gaps, or just for somthing to do, FILL YOUR TIME BETTER quit smoking, play a sport, go to the gym, get in shape, FEEL GOOD! u dont need weed to enjoy everyday things, things like sunsets, Nature, beautifull surroundings etc are MORE enjoyable when u are sober, just because it's like "Trippy" on weed, doesnt mean it's the best it could be....when u are impaired u cannot fully appreciate anything because thats NOT YOU! i dont care if anyone stops, or even thinks twice about this, but eventually u will see what u need in life, and weed isnt it.
I agree. Thats why I do play a sport, go to the gym, eat healthy, and also smoke. As long as those other things are getting done, i see no problem with the last one.
The problem with your post is that it applies only to you. For yourself, you found that smoking all the time was a hinderance, and it wasn't how you wanted to live your life. So you've stopped. And that's a good thing for you. But it isn't such a monster thing for everyone. For a lot of people it is a good part of their lives, and not something that controls them. It is an aid and there are many people who smoke their whole lives and just find that it benefits them. But it isn't that way for everyone, and for someone in a similar situation as you, should consider stopping it for a while. But it's not that way for everyone. PS. If you're so into being healthy, then why do you drink so much? I was reading about your drinking in another thread. That's less healthy for you than MJ any day.
Well that's how weed affected you. I am on a break right now also. I have smoked twice in the past month and a half, and I usually smoke probably 5-8 bong loads throughout the day. I find that I am LESS productive when I am not smoking. Seriously, I am glad that you are finding more enjoyment, meaning, or whatever out of life by not smoking. But that isn't the case with everyone. You can't just make blanket generalizations like that. My mental activity is not impeded or slowed down from Cannabis. It really only adds to my life. I will be a pot smoker til the day I die.
im in gymnastics and get passing grades,, so marijuana isnt hjuolding me back that much, though when i do smoke on a weekday, i always manage to NOT do my homework.
drinking once a week is MUCH healthier than smoking weed every other day... i go to the gym ever day, and eat chicken breasts and Yogurt all week long, i have 1 cheat day where i drink and eat what i want, thats why
for the ppl who say that only applies to me....how so? Does somone who says they are happy because the stopped smokign ciggeretes not have the right to say, it feels good to not smoke? and that DOES apply to everyone, imo this is the same situation, smoking anythign is not healthy, so how can u disagree at all just on the health aspect?
If it makes you happy to live without marijuana, good for you. But just because it works for you doesn't mean that it works for everyone. Weed brought me out of deep depression. Before I started smoking I flunked every class in school, even physical education, because of my depression. Then, when I was repeating the tenth grade, I started smoking on a regular basis and ended up getting A's and B's in every single class. Smoking has made my life more enjoyable and more bearable as a whole. Now, depression is the furthest thing from my mind.
i am totally against smoking alone, or just hanging out at smoking. I will smoke at parties and such though, or on a very rare occasion before a movie unless of course its 4/20
you're totally against smoking alone? i find smoking alone a very enjoyable and therapeutic experience. i'm a lot more introverted and just watching my thoughts flow from one thing to another is very very enjoyable. my breathing and the way air feels when its absorbed in my lungs and the way my whole body feels becomes magnified. these things i don't notice as much in a normal state, and also when i'm with friends i'm a lot more engaged in conversations....so when i'm alone i concentrate on the high and the feelings that it produces. alcohol, onthe other hand, for me , is a social drug and i don't think it would be much fun getting drunk alone.
Exactly! I consider alcohol a poison. Smoking, especially alone, is the antidote. It's almost purely theraputic.
I'd rather feel good and have fun doing it, and smoke a bowl. I just don't have the same fun when I'm sober...
i think if you smoke it all the time then you proberly know deep down there might be a little problem there, well done for quitting it though - that was right for you at the time. people wont quit on here when they are told to, people everywhere will do when they are ready - or just smoke it for life. and people can be healthy and still smoke it believe me, i smoke sometimes but i still do healthy stuff as well.
