A Good Day to Die Hard Movie Blurb by Shale February 15, 2013 This fifth installment of the Die Hard movies was roundly panned by most reviewers and I have to agree it wasn't as interesting as the previous Live Free or Die Hard. The aggregate reviews on Rottentomatoes had only 17% of reviewers liking this movie. Of course 82% of audiences liked it, but those are probably ppl into this movie's only strong point - total destruction of multiple cars, trucks, buildings and helicopters which pretty much dominated it as it did the previous movies. Not much of a story here. John McClane (Bruce Willis) is given some bad news from one of his sources that his estranged son "Jack" John McClane Jr. (Jai Courtney) is in trouble in Moscow. So, off to Russia goes John Sr. John McClane Jr Turns out Junior is in the CIA and they are trying to rescue Yuri Komarov (Sebastian Koch) a political prisoner that has some dirt on the defense minister who is the current ruler of Russia (No, the actor didn't look like Putin). The rescue is going down with problems when John and Jack meet amid the total mayhem that seems to follow John McClane wherever he goes and where we start on the aforementioned long highway destruction scene with an armored truck thru the expressways and streets of Moscow. They get away from that excitement but it is never quiet in this movie. There are so many double crosses here that the Russians will likely issue a formal protest for being portrayed as nothing but the greedy, murderous capitalists. John, Jack & Yuri Going to Next Action Scene. This movie opened on Valentine's Day but I doubt it would be considered a 'date flick.' It blatantly targets young men and there isn't even much of a love interest here with only one female character, Yuri's daughter Irina (Yuliya Snigir, Real Russian Eye Candy). Irina Changing from her Biker Clothes But guys don't need all that huggy/kissy stuff - you go to this movie to see the action, to see total unreal mayhem, like car chases and helicopters shooting up whole buildings trying to hit two McClanes and those same McClanes taking it down. hi, Man nice post I didn't watch this movie but one of my friend did and he was saying its not worth of anything to watch this movie.. ............. Classified website
It still looks interesting and i've always liked the "Die Hard" movies so i'll check it out anyway. Plus i'm glad it's to an r rating.
