A Full Moon Imbolc Ritual & Prayer

The Branch of Cosmic Spirituality Method of Prayer
For those new to our Branch family and those interested in joining, we have our own unique method of praying and when chanting mantras. This method allows the energy within you to connect with the aether, the universe and the forces you call. Details of how to perform this are below.

• Draw your palms together as if to pray, and then slowly pull them approximately 3cm apart.
• Hold them in this position for a few seconds before pulling them another centimetre or two apart before steadily returning to 3cm.
• Repeat the process a number of times as you feel the energy in the small naked space between your palms.
• Open your palms so they face the altar or your sacred space to allow the connection of energy from the aether and from your mind, body and spirit to connect.
• Recite your prayer or mantra.

Our Imbolc Fire Ritual Prayer
Blessed Imbolc fire burning bright,
Full moon shining upon the night,
Flames and embers upon the hearth,
And Brigid’s guidance in my mind and heart
Let me bid rid of chains which hold me down,
So I may grow as seed does from ground
Universe deliver love, peace and respect,
And challenges faced successfully met,
With flames burning from fire, candle or hearth,
Hear this call from my heart.
So mote it be, Blessed be.


The Branch of Cosmic Spirituality Imbolc Ritual of Fire
What You Need:

• Material for fire or 2 reddish-orange candles (if not available use white) if performing this ritual without a fire or 1 if you are having a fire.
• NOTE – jars may be necessary for the candle/s if performing this ritual outside.
• Fireproof dish if performing this ritual without a fire.
• Myrrh incense.
• Salt.
• Small vessel of milk.
• A vessel of moon water, rain water or if absolutely necessary tap water that has been standing for a number of hours.
• Connection Stone (clear quartz crystal)
• Citrine crystal.
• Bay leaves or small pieces of paper.
• Pen to write on the bay leaves or paper.
• 432hz Tuning Fork and Resonator Box (optional)
• Matches or lighter.

Procedure
To Begin:

• Write anything you wish to remove from your life on the bay leaves or paper and place them in your pocket.
• Place the Clear Quartz Crystal (Connection Stone) and citrine crystal to the North of your desired space, the Candle to the South, the vessel of water to the West and the Incense to the East. Place the vessel of milk to one side but within the salt circle.

• If you are having a fire, place this in the centre of your space, if not place the remaining candle there.
• Light the fire and candle/s and incense.

Purifying Your Space:

• Sprinkle salt around the perimeter of your chosen space for protection.
• Purify/Cleanse the space by burning sage smudge or palo santo wood. If outdoors walk around the space 3 times in a clockwise direction chanting “With powers of the Universe and moon above and powers of Mother Earth below, Purify this space and let magick grow. Purify! Purify! Purify!
• Repeat the procedure walking in an anti- clockwise direction.
• NOTE – If carrying out this ritual indoors you may pass the smudge or palo santo over and around your space.
• When you have completed this, chant “So Mote it Be” 3 times whilst raising your arms above your heads your head.
• Sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.

Calling the Guardians of the Elements:

• Face East sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.

• Open your palms together as if to receive.
• Say “I call upon the blessing of the Guardian of the element of air”.
• Stand still for a few seconds and then stroke both sides of your body from head to waist simultaneously. Finally bow towards the East.
• Face South sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.
• Open your palms as if to receive.
• Say “I call upon the blessing of the Guardian of the element of fire”.
• Stand still for a few seconds and then stroke both sides of your body from head to waist simultaneously. Finally bow towards the South.
• Face West sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.
• Open your palms together as if to receive.
• Say “I call upon the blessing of the Guardian of the element of water”.
• Stand still for a few seconds and then stroke both sides of your body from head to waist simultaneously. Finally bow towards the West.
• Face North Sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.
• Open your palms together as if to receive.
• Say “I call upon the blessing of the Guardian of the element of Earth”.
• Stand still for a few seconds and then stroke both sides of your body from head to waist simultaneously. Finally bow towards the North.

The Main Ritual

• Sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.
• Walk around your now sacred area in a clockwise direction 3 times chanting “Earth, air, fire and water, Universe and Mother Earth, Bless this circle and great powers bestow. As above as is below”.
• Repeat the above walking in an anti-clockwise direction.
• NOTE – If carrying out this ritual indoors you can pass your hand around your sacred space as before.
• When you have completed this, chant “So Mote it Be” 3 times whilst raising your arms above your head.
• Sound your tuning fork or chant “Aum. Aum. Aum”.
• Recite the following;

Remove all that causes me harm.
So mote it be, So mote it be, So mote it be.

• Throw the bay leaves or pieces of paper on the fire or burn them on the candle in the middle of your space and watch them burn.
• When the last one is burnt recite the following;

“All my worries and all that hurts,
Has been removed and is now burnt,
Reduced to ashes and smoke rising,
I move forward to a bright new horizon”.
So mote it be, so mote it be, so mote it be.

• Pick up the vessel of milk and pinch some with your fingers, enough so it drips from them.
• NOTE – If two or more people are performing this ceremony each can dip their fingers in the milk.
• Flick the milk from your fingers and recite the following;

“A gift of thanks a gift of love,
For powers below and above,
I close this circle but let the power remain,
And continue to serve me every night every day,
So mote it be, so mote it be, so mote it be,
Blessed be.

• Bow your head towards the centre and snuff out any candles and the incense. Ensure any fires are safe when you leave.
