The You-Ess-Ayy (and it's creepy allies) destroyed the Cuba you long for through (many decades of) economic sanctions, but in the process forced Fidel to build a country that other nations are jealous of through it's progressive socialist implementations. The only reason you give for the ruination of Cuba is based purely on money! How fucking shallow you obviously are (a true capitalist); it doesn't matter to you that everybody in Cuba has an opportunity for free university education; free medical care (without waiting weeks); fresh organic fruit/veg always available/affordable and a whole host of other benefits that no capitalist cuntree can boast.
