1st pic dont wsee no dreads 2nd i dunno what im even lookin at but 3rd definbately see some dreads formin therre conciderin the length and the relatively short toime looks to be some decent progress maybe take another without the hat?
My cell phone cam is a relic, but here are some hopefully better pics of my now 39 day old all natural dreads (allthough I did start by backcombing). I cant believe how fast dreads form, and I have super straight hair as well, which is supposedly harder to dread..lol
many thanks.. All my friends that have dreads said that It would take months for them to really dread after I backcombed, because of how straight my hair is. But here it is 39 days later, and they are well on there way. Its funny, I was so worried that they would un-ravel a week or so after I backcombed...lol. I also thought I would have way more loose hair, but ive been plesently surprised by how little loose hair there is.
Looking good, but don't get too excited. It's not uncommon for them to come apart then re-knot come apart and re-knot etc etc. It's all part of the trip.
any tips or secrets as to how you kept them from not straightening out? how often were you washing your hair through out the first month, and did you use sea salt water at all?
ya man mine seemed real knotty then they fell apart lol and looked kinda bad for a few months then they started reshaping and forming yours are still young so expect sum flys and shit later but they look good and theyll form good if there stayin that well together just from a backcomb with nothing else.
right on everyone.. They have went through some changes in the last few days. Ive had 7 dreads congo up to fattys...
I just washed with only a salt water solution 3 times a week, followed by rinsing it out with just plain water. And also twice Ive used some organic tea-tree and green tea soap..its been great.
Just an update on my dreads.... They continue to hold together nicely, and they seem to be getting alot fatter as well. My cam is still shitty..lol
