Ive had 2 pretty strange dreams the last 2 nights and a string of VERY vivid dreams in which I realize I am dreaming and can act within the dream, but still very odd things happen without having control of the situation in strange settings.

The first dream came 2 nights ago and my memory starts about half way through the dream. I mildly remember that the dream started just like any other day, only I was in NYC or some other big city. Maybe Boston because it wasn't built up as much as NYC. Anyway, I was walking around and I started noticing some of the people walking around were a pale blue color, a little darker than sky blue, each with tattered grey shirts and light tan shorts but not a scratch on any of them. I went into a store that was very odd. It was indoors with dark yellow carpeting and the walls were a dark seafoam streaking into a lighter seafoam towards the top of the wall. In order to buy something, you had to talk to a large man sitting inside of a stand with glass windows. It looked like an indoor version of a sidewalk kiosk where you can buy newspapers and candy and gum and other various items. I went up to the counter where I saw a short woman with a white hat that seemed to be floating or hanging off the edge of the counter to where me and her were eye level and I asked her why all thee people were blue. By this time there were 5 of the blue people in the store, all of them not really paying special attention to anything. It seemed like they were just walking around doing a whole lot of nothing. She said they were dead people, not spirits, just zombie like people and I was given a gift of seeing them where other regular people could not. She said something about how their eyes are special though so they can see both the living and the dead but cannot interact with the living. The dream immediately had me focus in on one of the blue people's face. He had disheveled dirty blonde hair (all of them did) with a very neutral expression. Not smiling, not frowning and none of them had their mouths open at any point. They were completely silent. But the eyes were the weirdest. They had pupils and the colored part closest to the eye was yellow and it streaked into the same blue that their skin color was. They had no whites to their eyes except some streaks along the outer edge of their eyes. I talked to the woman a little further and I explained to her that the more I walk around the more these people appear along with the crowd of regular people walking around. I can interact with regular people, but could not interact with the blue people who just seemed like nice zombies. She then told me that I must be dead as well, but still have the ability to connect with regular people only, but I looked the same and talked the same and felt the same. I woke up after that piece of info. I wish I stayed asleep longer so it could develop more...

This dream is more silly. I was hanging out with some college football players (3) who were very muscular, and their coach. I think I was with them because it was the NFL draft yesterday... who knows? Anyway, we were all excited about going out and having a good time at a new club that just released a new line of chewing gum (I chew gum a lot so I was excited). So instead of serving drinks, the club sold packs of gum. I ended up getting my hands on a pack that was wildly expensive but a celebrity gave a pack to me for free and told me not to let anyone know I had it because he/she was not supposed to give it out to anyone. Anyway, we walk up to the bouncer and he informs us that we are all not allowed in the club that night as it is closed off from the public. We were all pretty bummed and ended up going to a local bar instead that was dead inside. Again, only gum was served. We get inside and the football players were so bummed about not getting in and getting some of the new gold colored gum in a rich purple package. After about a half hour of them not buying any gum because they're too depressed and talking to their coach about how upset they had become, I reached into my pocked and gave them each a piece of the gum I had been given. They were all so happy to have a stick each. That is the point I woke up. Again, kind of odd, but whatever.

The weird part of all this is the night before the blue zombie dream I had another dream about death and both days I had someone in my family pass away. Both were not very close to me, but still sad none the less. They were more distant relatives. I wish I could remember the dream about death the other night as well. This is about the 4th day in a row that I have had very vivid dreams and I never dream at all. I kind of want to know what the deal with the dreams are and what they mean and also would like to know why I have been having such vivid dreams recently. I usually have 1 really vivid dream each month or two, but nothing I remember like these two dreams.

These dreams are very vivid. What really stands out for me is the colour. Are you an artist?

If you keep a journal of your dreams and meditate on dreams before going to sleep, you are more likely to remember your dreams, but this doesn't seem to be your problem.

No, I'm not an artist or anything. But the dreams had major focus on the fine detail rather than the substance which is why I think I remember everything so well. Especially the blue people. I have no idea what it means and I'm dying to find out. I just found this site and Im kind of planning on jotting my dreams down here, but like I said, I just don't dream that often.

I believe that dreams are often messages from our subconscious. The part that stands out most vividly is frequently the most important part of the message. It's as if your subconscious is saying, "Hey dream287, pay special attention to this!"

I'm very skeptical about dream dictionaries. We all have our own sets of symbols that mean things to us that they might not mean in someone else's dreams. A dream dictionary is just a starting point, something to get you started and thinking.

Another important key is how you feel when you are in the dream and how you feel when you wake up. What are your feelings about blue people and zombies?

Often people whose skin is some colour that never normally shows up naturally on people are a result of eating too much or the wrong thing too soon before bed. I suspect zombies as the "undead" and your thoughts about dead people and contact with the dead are some things you would want to look at as you unpack this dream.

Even if you weren't all that close to your relatives who died, it is still sad and it is normal to contemplate your own future death. The fact that the zombies are "nice" zombies is somewhat unusual, and it suggests that you have positive feelings about your departed relatives and on some level you may see the Other Side/Afterlife/etc. as a pleasant place...or not a scary one.
