i heard some of bushs people say we didnt have enough money for environmental programs and things like that. maybe if we stopped using it all to blow up villages we would have some money to spend on more important things!
the costofwar.com is a very good source. You can look at what we could have spent that money on instead, and when you see that, enough is said, you know at that very moment this war is BULLSHIT. Think about it, its not a war, its a RAID. How many more lives have to be lost for congress to open their damn eyes? But as always, like Vietnam, we are all just a number, nothing more, and a whole lot less.
I'd gladly give my $600 to an Iraqi FAMILY instead of the government that is freeing them. This war honestly depresses me more and more everyday.
Oh, I'm not saying we should have invaded Iraq or anything, at least not unless they'd admit they're merely doing it to secure resources, just showing that it's not so huge a cost as it's made to sound.
I want my $3600 back. That could pay for at least a semester at college for my oldest. Or the difference after the scholarship at the Gifted School for my youngest. Or a new frige and stove, or fix the plumbing or a very expensive vacation. Something. I want it back.
