Damn public schools. I'm never going to be able to remember 12!! http://www.boston.com/news/science/articles/2006/08/16/nine_no_longer_panel_declares_12_planets/ Damnit!
If they keep changing the definition of a planet we might have millions of them in our solar system soon.
A million? Damnit!!!! Most of the things you'll learn aren't going to be aplicable in life. Theres never going to be a life or death situation where knowing anything you get from higher education will save your life. Unless maybe your a cop. But they mostly just shoot each other with tazers.
I thought there were only 8, and that Pluto wasn't an actual planet. But they couldn't change its status because it was the only "planet" discovered by American's, and they balked. Not that it really matters.
Yesterday they've decided Pluto isn't a planet anymore, so there are only 8 left. But who cares, really?
this is the kinda crap that makes some part of Science the least credible thing ever... lets just change all the fuckin theories ... theory of evolution... man does a a human really fit the defintion of those primates at around 100 000 BC... i guess not... lets take them out of the equation.... or how about we invent other defetions to group a certain amount of knowledge. how about we invent one that groups caracteristics of stars together with similar caracteristics of comets... and make ANOTHER group... wooo... in another way though... Pluto was a planet afterall because the Americans discovered it... they probably made their way back and arranged something to keep it a planet lol... some decision like this doesnt change in 2 days... publishing in the press that there are 8 planets, and in the wake of the next day we have 12 planets... man... might as well say whatever you fuckin want... this isnt for science, this is simply for arrogance and image and honor... science is no longer run by knowledge. its run by powers.
shittles.. that makes sense ... lmao... my dad just told me recently as well... man... lol i gotta stop doing stuff.
It's actual quite logical that they change theories as they discover new things. Since Pluto is a different object then the planets in our solarsystem there's not a strange thing about it that they changed it's definition.
