What did you think about it? I enjoyed it, and Trey blew me away, I found a few good new bands out there Down Lo, Hooch, and Mr. Blotto I snuck into VIP and got a ton of free food each day
I thought the show was awesome. I've never been to a festival that was that big before. Rusted Root was my favorite. I was also told to see Cyro Baptista and was pleasantly suprised about it. I loved that there was so much space to camp in, but all the cops drivin' around SUCKED! Wouldn't you all agree?
I agree the cops were no fun and security was pretty tight at the entrance but there were also some very nice security that gave me some "party supplies" back instead of taking them, then again other security tackled me and tooke my beer bong i got 12 beers taken from me when i taped em to my chest and tried to sneak them in
I had a great time!!! I was vending near the main stage so I missed some of the barn and saloon stage stuff. What a great festival. I thought the security was pretty nice. Instead of making us dump glass beer bottles they gave us plastic cups instead I can't wait till next year already.
Wild 3 days i have to say. Rusted Root was Definatly by far My Favorite and was cool to see Mike just chillin in the crowd with everybody l8r on. I definatly had a blast Played alot of drums ate alot of goodies. Did anybody by anychance drum with me in the tunnel heading to blue Ox on sat night. ??? like early morning sunday more like it but anyways. Security was kinda bitchy depending on which gate you were at. The blue ox side my buddies were running it so no trouble but commin back from sally camp damn. I guess all are depending on which time of day also. I ran into a girl selling some Fat tire which was realy nice since not being able to get it up in michigan some find colorado brew was nice to have. Never ran into you Rift Couldnt Find the VW where did you camp. although my mind was gone most of the time lol. Got to Drink some Moonshine hahaha that was another highlight. Running barefoot through the woods in total darkness alll Messed up. then comming back to Reality to drum for another 3 hours. ahha wow good times good times. Well I'll be there next year for shure.
I thought Trey's show was very very good. He has a whole new band now behind him, as you probably know. They must've done their practicing....I thought it sounded pretty tight. I enjoyed it anyway.
10klf was incredible, IMHO much better than the big bonnaroo. I wish I had made it the last two years, but 2006 is not that far away. If any of you were these tunnel drummers, thank you. You made my sunday night much better. And yes, Trey was amazing. I enjoyed this performance much more than last time I saw him, which was the distant past of 2003. Trey: Everyone feeling the vibe @ trey: So a big thank you to all those who attended, it took everybody to make that festival the beautiful thing that it was.
Jealousy is seething through my body. I'm up in MN and was going to go but I ended up way short on money. Yuck! I heard it was awesome. I'm going to be at Harvest fest and am looking forward to that.
I wish you would have been there. The more people to share a beautiful experience like that with the better. When is harvest fest? I like the dredg quote BTW. I love dredg. And kerouac, as a matter of fact.
lilylove, we will have to start a Harvest Fest thread, if one hasn't been started. that is an awesome Minnesota/Harmony Park event. I'm sorry you missed 10klf. Next year could be even better though!! piper, I think Harvest Fest is Sept 9-11, great weather last year, and Harmony Park is the best venue ever. Really really good music too. watch for our new thread.
