.... and it's illegal to pump your own gas.

In New Jersey, you don't need to commit suicide,
just hang in the hood and breathe the air.

i have been in jersey for five years, I still don't know if I love it or hate it, there's problems but every place has it's problems, even in other countries, I make the best of whereever I am and look at the best things to keep me happy. my happyness comes first and I respect jersey people that also believe this...jahbless

I must say....I have lived here my entire life, and up until a year ago there was no other place in the world that I wanted to call home....I sit on Route 80 every morning at 5 a.m in traffic and then again in the afternoon in the same traffic.....I must stop for injured animals on a daily basis because people cant even TRY to not hit them....I live in Warren County, far enough away from the undesirable smells...but the farms are bring built on and the open spaces arent really open anymore.....its sad....we are a state filled with history, but even buildings that have survived hundreds of years cant stand up to strip malls and mini marts and Quik Checks and Commerce Banks!

yeah i agree with lovejah, makin the best of wherever and whenever. i live pretty far into the southern part of jersey, there are still problems, like everywhere else, but alot of the streotypes about this state dont really apply around here. it is what ya make it i guess.

I think most of the stereotypes comes from what people see when they are on the Turnpike and coming through JC, Secausus and Newark. Jersey actually has beautiful places.....too bad they are being built on : (

Thats Another Trobled Place to Be.... The Streets Of AC Are not Safe Doring The Day Never Mind The Night hours...... But Millville And Mays Landing Are Really Nice Places That Are Not In The Cesspool On Jersey..... And I Love It And hate It Here.......

Put it this way....usually when you go away from home you usually feel at least a tiny bit of homesickness...and at the end of the trip you are ready to return....this is NOT the case with Vermont! I was there 2 weeks and dreaded the very thought of returning home. In fact Vermont feels more like "home" than home itself. The first time we went we stayed at the Trapp Lodge in Stowe and it was beautiful....we have also been to Burlington a few times, Montepelier, Rutland, Coventry, Cabot, Shelburne, and some other smaller towns. The people are FRIENDLY and WELCOMING even in the grocery stores and gas stations....there is NO TRAFFIC...the highways are wide open and the whole time I was there I did not see one dead animal in the road! We are going up in a few weeks and I cant wait.....you have to have to have to get there!

Plain zero always works best in a swamp, digging out...

^^ the upper states arn't bad at all, but again, if you go at it with a fiending for travel, anyplace can get old quick until you burn yourself out, or really find what your looking for...
Honestly, it's the matter of at least doing something that counts. That's something easy to learn at a place in jersey.
    Busy folk we are...

Millville has a beautifull Glass muesem with some old stuff.
    and newer crafts.

We spoke with the artisians and saw beautiful glass sculptures being made.
