You speak the truth right there man.. The few natural dreads I have seen (in person) that were 3-4 years looked almost impenetrable.
bcmama, They look a bit diffrent because thoes are called Thimbleberry (Rubus parviflorus), they do grow in the vicinity of salmonberries though...
