It irritates me to no end when my mum will ask me the same question six times in a row. Sometimes it will even extend over to the next day. I get so frustrated with her that I start cussing up a storm and tell her to "fucking forget it, I've told you seven times already, good lord!"

If it truley was important, she would of AT MOST made a note of it the second go around. Perhaps she has zero listening skills. It's becomming more frequent and she doesnt seem to realize just how much it makes me angry

Parents are like that. They ask you the same question seven times, looking to see if there are any variations in your answer. I could be wrong, but usually my folks were using that method to find out if I was lying or not.

It's not about stuff like that. It's more like "Where is practice today?", "Did I give you money?", "What time are you leaving?" , "What do you need at wal-mart?" etc etc...Me lying isn't even in the equation, It's just the stupidity of some people who can't get something the first or second time.

O, I see what you mean. Even though you're probably right about them not paying attention, they may be forgetful because of their age, so try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Things don't come as easily when you're 40 as they do when you're 20.

I think it presents you the perfect opportunity to reference their lack of attention the next time they get on you for being careless/not listening. It isn't fair that you should be expected to hang on their every word when they can't even remember where you are having practice at.

Basically, it boils down to both parties having enough respect for one another to really pay attention to what the other is saying (instead of blowing smoke up the other person's ass, and pretending to listen :p ).

Obsessive Compulsive about being sure she knows we are on the same page? I wouldnt' really say it's an OCD thing. There are only so many OCD scenerios you can come up with this certain case.

OCD is scary. I know a girl with OCD and she can't stop chasing guys, at first i thought she was just a whore, then i realized she is obsessed with meeting guys even if she has one right next to her. And she is obsessed with money. She isn't a gold digger. She has OCD

Lol..that's weird...There is this anerexic girl in our school that is obsessive compulisive about germs. She had about 8 germ-x things and she will scrub at her desk with wipes and such. What she doesnt realize is that everything has germs, regardless. They are good for you because they build up your immune system. Whenever she gets sick, it hits her hard becuase of this.

Also, the chemicals in all the cleaner is by all means, much worse for you. It really fucks up your body.

She then goes on to insist she is muscular..this girl weighs under 100 pounds...I'm not seeing it. She is grossly boney

More like constant throughout the day, over the span of a few hours. But when she asks the same thing the next day...that's pretty damn bad. Due to the simple fact it's been overly covered they day before

some people are just like that I think. My boss will ask the sam questions over and over and my other boss (his daughter) will tell me what to do over and over step by step.

Like in Office Space, where Peter gets told the same thing over and over even though he says he knows what to do. A lot of people are like that.

Have you considered that she may be developing Alzheimer's? It's possible. Or does she have a busy day? She might ask questions over and over to remind herself.

I would only advise you to be patient and talk with her about this when you aren't frustrated with her. Sit down and have am adult conversation and tell her how irritating it is. Maybe you'll find out why she does it, or maybe she'll stop.

She does have a lot on her mind, but she's smart enough to see me get irritated about it. She should know by now.

I am just kidding .. I hope your situation gets better. Family- you love em and simply go insane all the same time that you have to endure them. It never stops or you just learn to ignore it -hard to do
