Tell what you did today? How did you meditate? How was it? Where did it take you? Did you have some new insights? Where did you learn that? How do you feel? Why do you meditate? What does it mean to meditate? What do you expect from it? tell me all about it!
I cleared the music room (see performing art forum for results). It was hard but satisfying work. It was wierd seeing my childhood like that, there was so much stuff that I probably won't go near again but I saw as wonderful toys as a child. I guess I got 2 insights: 1. Don't be scared to throw away some elements of the past 2. Our perceptions change. Blessings Sebbi
in my meditation, i see richard gere as my zen teacher. he takes me to different places to meditate. i'm not crazy, though.
i havent meditated today, but a day or two ago, i was lying on my back on some metal bleachers in the sun and these two birds flew overhead as i was staring up at the blue sky. i was thinking about something completely different, but hearing the sounds of their wings cutting through the air totally brought me out of whatever i was thinking about and really made me WAKE UP. i remember reading somewhere some quote that said, "the Buddha is still giving dharma talks today. if you´re aware enough, you can still hear it from rocks, form passing clouds in the sky, etc."
as I awoke I remembered my dreams, breathed, sat up, drank water and read, as my body is a student in a college, momentarily... I saw the sun was awake so I went to great the perfect source of light, the wind was chilly so I put more clothes on... I proceeded to lie myself down in the grass, and intermittedly read more passages as I would stare towards the sun and observe the earth spinning... later I sat down next to my friend who asked to sketch my face, so I sat in full-lotus for, i can only predict, 20-30 minutes... began by staring at a huge tree in front of me, began to see the dichotomy and light and dark shading all around me... felt my vision expand to include the sun to my left, a curl of my hair by my left eye, realized that sazen is the easiest thing you can do, however confused you may be by the practice, the simpler the better..sitting is simply that sitting, i began to imagine the landscape around me as I know my state and region of the country fairly well-expanding to the whole of the continent and then the world, how the earth is spinning around the sun, and how all of that is spinning in the galaxies when i returned up through all of it back up my body energy focusing up my spin in a kundalini fashion where energy began expanding up through the crown of my head releasing spiritual light into the universe, barely realizing that this body given to me was breathing, my eye watered, a blink and then she told me she was done, she has added a drawing of my hands. I stretched my legs out of the position straight out in front of me, then sat on my feet japanese style before a short fetus pose to stretch them that way...at that time my friends had called me from atop the hill to retrieve my book so i ran, we laughed, drank some more water... eventually all is meditation time to rest I AM lovin'light Adam
to melvndu- it is said that everything is the guru, and when you finally come to see that, and retain that state...it is constant learning and enlightment..everything is guru(all that is from ram das's remember be here now) much love and light Adam
Wow I had no Idea this place existed. Hi, today, while I was meditating, I saw a monk... I was trying to picture myself as water, ( http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/buddhism/meditate/water.htm ) and whenever a monk would get a bowl to take a drink, the monk would have a huge smile on his face and dance around, I kept laughing. It was great.
with me i meditation 2 times every day...I go all out with the steam and candles .... I try to get rid of any negative energy i may have....
It was good today, as always. The best was last week. 20 min where my mind was just a vibration on top of my head.

Oh!! KALALAU!!! IT's so Beautiful!!!! Today in my yoga class we did an extended deep relaxation for about 45 minutes and it was so wonderful!! It's really been a while since I have been that still and willing to let go of so much. I had an insight that I still have sadness about a past relationship almost 3 years ago. I mean, I knew that, kind of, in one of those knowings where you don't want to change it, so it's almost denial.. but today I was so much more aware of it..like a big laser beam was pointing straight at that reality. And I feel so much more able to just let it go back into the past and to start moving forward and working towards healing and a wholesome heart. It feels so great!! I believe healing comes to us all the time and it's just believing that and working with the great life forces of mother earth. I had a great insight about my own inner self and how I too have a flowing stream of beauty that can also work to heal heart wounds. And that is a great, pure, content insight, I would say!
