Hey hippies, buddies, like-minded persons! It's so nice that I've found this forum site, and whole Hippy.com site -> there's lots of information, stories and stuff that I really liked. So, I'd like to tell something about myself. I'm Vytenis from Europe, Lithuania, Vilnius, I'm 16 years old. I became a hippy thinking only last summer, so I'm pretty "new" but I really feel the need to change first myself (we all have to start from changing ourselves first) and the world. I was influenced by a friend, Peter from USA, Indiana - he's a hippy for 6 years and we met last summer in London, at the MasterWorks Festival (a Christian Performing Arts' Festival). I like many kinds of music - classical, jazz, blues, rock&roll and others. I really think that real hippies are those, who LIVE like hippies, not dress like hippies - the first maybe two months were like "wow, hippy dressing, fashion is so cool, I wanna be a hippy" but later I found out that I really do like the hippy style of living, vegetarism, love, nature and stuff. I have to say, I never was a "American way-living" person, who sits in his/her couch all day watching TV and eating hamburgers, drinking soda, I actually hate TV, because I prefer radio as a news announcer, and music -> I play the flute, I think I'm going to study music and be a musician, because I find lots of things connected between music and the spiritual stuff. I don't like those who think that music is like "only play the notes with a nice sound" -> I always search for excellence in performing, working, learning new pieces - that's what musicians have to do you know. I wouldn't say that I'm a pure Christian, because I have my own way to believe in God, the God of Love, because there's only one God, and many ways to believe Him and many names of Him. I hope we will find some things to talk about, if you have any questions, ask me, please. Good luck, Vytenis, Whiddy
Hey, Vytenis! I am Mikko from Helsinki, Finland. You have come to the right place. I'm quite new here too. Peace!
