After scanning over the EWG website i came out only mildly horrified at the ingredients of commercial shampoos and their harmful effects. So i've been searching the net for all-natural bar shampoos and the ones that seem to have the most work and nice ingredients put into them seem to all be made for dreads. I know that residue-free formulas are popular if not necessary in terms of dread shampoos...an aspect which I like. Which leads us to my question: Would you recommend dread shampoos for non-dreaded hair? And if so, which brands/formulas? Thanks!
Dr. Bronners should work well for undreaded hair..plus it makes your bathroom smell all pepperminty cant remember, but i think tis a bit expensive though :/
I've tried that stuff...I got it for pretty cheap and yes it smells good. But it made my hair feel gross. Thanks for the input though.
KNotty boy says their soap is for dreaded or non-dreaded hair. You can get a bar for $16 including shipping...
look for small scale soap companys. my step mum makes soap and theres a company in england called Lush that makes soaps so thats where i get mine from. Look up lush on the net they might post out. But they make only from natural products and their soaps are for normal hair and they have different soaps for different kinds of hair so gressy/dry ect.
yea i know its a big company but i didnt know if it was outside england because it started over here from what i know. I almost worked for them and i asked about theirpolycies when i was in the interview. They appear to be a good company. they hate the idea of chemicals in body products I guess its like Body shop, it began as a small one womans idea to create a company that sold products that werent tested on animals and now they are a masssive high street chain... but still product are not tested on animals, non of them.
I never realized how much of our products have so many chemicals in em. Even our foods that say organic alot of times are not!
Yeah that BUGS me. They will say "organic" in big bold writing right on the front of the label, yet on the back it will have a little note that says something like "contains 60% organic ingredients".
yea its a marketing ploy. products like "organics" and "herbal essences" are designed to play on the whole "we have organic ingreediants in us" idea to et more custom.
