You will find as you get older and mature...unlike some people...who will never mature....that life is about sacrifice. You can not achive anything without sacrificing somthing else for it. Life is unreasonable. People are mean, and ruthless because they feel they have to be to get what they want. you will find that in time the only way to deal with your feelings is to deal with them and fuck everyone else. People will stoop to anything they can pick on about another person os they can feel better about themselves. Most of the time whn someone is pointing out your faults it is because thye see things in you that they do not like in themselves. I know that you are not probably much for this pop psychology lecture I am trying to give. Killing yourself, however, can really never be seen in my eyes as anything but a childish, immature, selfish act. It does matter who you hurt. Stop worrying about what your purpose in life is and all that philosophical stuff. Remeber you can never ever go back to seventeen again. I would give a lot if I could have a do over. Yu should spend your tije thinking about your present not your future and try to make the best out of what you have. Use your tallents, don't dwell on your short commings. the best advice I could give you is waht my mother told me at your age. "Find something you like to do, and get somebody to pay you to do it." Stop playing up oh poor me the victom and live your life.

as far as i've seen, only 1 person has actually attempted to help answer the question. I liked what that person had to say. I'm currently reading a book by Viktor Frankl about his experiences in a nazi concentration camp and how they changed his outlook on life. Man's search for meaning as he says should not try and look for some deep and profound purpose in life. Instead, their search for meaning should involve finding a goal for yourself for the present time and making that goal your purpose in life. Every person has a different goal and the objective is to find out what it is, regardless of how mundane it may seem. Also, self-sacrifice and suffering according to Frankl is by no means pointless. Life is incomplete without suffering. We must suffer in order to appreciate what things, people we have. Instead of trying to remove all tension in life, this tension is what sustains us and helps us to have purpose in life. So in conclusion, your suffering and sacrifice are by no means pointless and you must seek what is good in your life currently and what you have to look forward to in it. This is the best answer I can give you.

That's because basically we are all sad and it makes people feel helpless when others are depressed. It might seem harsh but in actuality, the people in here are nice and are jokingly try to get the poster out of his/her blue funk. It might not seem helpful or even nice but then sometimes you don't how to be helpful and nice can actually make things worse. This way is a way of acceptance and humor, which makes people feel welcome and a part of stuff.

They're all valid attempts to help. Yours is just clinical. Some are joking, some are, harsh, some are well-meaning, some are loving and some don't make a darn bit of sense until you really think about them. The point is that no one way is the best but each one serves a purpose. (Maybe negativity is not helpful and in some cases it can make problems worse but in some cases it can be just the thing to snap a person out of a funk. Besides, getting the person to get mad and lash out can sometimes release stress. I know I sometimes need to lash out when stuff gets to be to much. The point is that people, right or wrong, try to help and maybe their approach is bad but their heart is good. (I'm working with that thought right now over something that hurt me earlier.) I figure even if I'm lying to myself that the thought makes me feel better.

 

i should have been smart enough not to write the first sentence of my original post, knowing in the back of my head that that would become the focus of what i wrote.---this is more directed towards tencentgame or whatever than it is at you, Bellfire.
