most likely is more far-fetched than not, but i'm sure there's some bit of truth to this...

American troops kidnap Iraqi children to use as human shields.

US forces kidnapped 10 children outside their homes in downtown al-Qa’im, a town on the Syrian border. The local correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported one of the parents of the arrested children said that the US troops captured the children and then put them on the tops of tanks and armored vehicles and then set off with them on heavy patrols inside the city.

In his report posted at 12:50pm Mecca time Friday afternoon, the correspondent said that the patrols were still underway at the time of writing. The children were obviously being used as human shields to prevent the Resistance from attacking the American armored vehicles.

The correspondent reported that he himself had personally seen the children on the vehicles, two children on each vehicle. The children were frightened and in tears and mothers and fathers ran after the American tanks and APCs, imploring the invaders to let their children go.

For its part, the Iraqi Resistance in the city promised the people of the city and the parents of the children in particular that they would not attack the US forces today, for fear of harming the children. The correspondent noted that at that moment US troops were doing whatever they wanted inside the city, feeling secure behind the “wall” of Iraqi child shields.

The correspondent noted, however, that the Resistance would not endure this situation for long, particularly after the Americans stormed into areas around the city that they would not previously have dreamed of entering, such as the phosphate mines that the Americans have nicknamed the “Bermuda Triangle” because of the high number of Resistance attacks that have taken place in that area.

abu-ghraib ? who brought up that ?.. Though i can see that some people have no regard for dignity and i can stretch too no regard for the life of others..

I am caught in a logic loop i think.. i don't want to believe it i can see that it is possible i don't think it hapened or is hapening though it could be.. I just think the way the story is being used is wrong. It won't be evil individuals it will be the great american military complex being the ones responsible..you know they don't mind this kind of thing do the wink wink nudge nudge..erm well they don't do this kind of thing individuals do, if the story has any merit it will be investigated just like abu-ghraib .

Don't call me blinded, and don't call me naive dammit, because I am neither. I know bullshit happens over there. And I know that we over here don't even know the half of it! The only troops that would do that kind of bullshit...using children as human sheilds though, were already psychotic in the first place. But are they all? Hell no. Is it running rampant over there? Fuck no. Are most of them decent human beings like my husband who actually care about the people around them? You better fucking believe it. I just know how shit like this goes. Some asshat does something stupid and finally gets caught. Instead of letting the military take care of his/her dumbass first (and they fucking would damn well), the media from all over the place takes such a story and breeds contempt for those troops, and eventually all troops get the brunt of it. And it's fucking annoying as all hell considering the calibur of most of those men and women over there.

I may have jumped the gun getting angry, but considering the way these things have happened in the past, I don't think it's COMPLETELY uncalled for from me.

So if anything, I'm sensitive. But naive and blinded I am not. And all I freakin did was answer your question to begin with.

Its possible. We can't think of all the troops like that though just because a few may have done something bad. People alawys focus on the negative and fail to see the positive. There are alawys a few people who do something stupid in a group.

that's dumb, if they were driving armored vehicles why would they need four inches of flesh to protect them? problably just anti-american propaganda, although if it is true i wouldn't be all that suprised sadly.

To stop people shooting at them .. i would imagine. Hoping that the people shooting would cease fire.. It is probably anti us propaganda and a slight urban myth..but yeah the possibility is there for it to be true.. sadly.
