Putin had some tough remarks ahead of Bush's meeting with him. Putin remarked that democracy shouldn't be used as a talking point to try to put one's will on another country. He also said that Russia didn't choose its democracy to please some other country. I hope relations don't become strained between the U.S. and Russia. The issue about Iran is causing problems between the U.S. and Russia also.

I'd like to see Bush make a few diplomatic statements before leaving on a trip to do diplomacy. But he just has to satisfy his own ego and stand up on his perch like a parrot, preach his American version of democracy before leaving for a summit, and irritate all of the people he's going to meet with his condescending remarks.
