It coudn't be March 17th...the day i have off from school. That would've made it a whole lot easier for me. It seems cool, but I don't see how I, a junior high student, would make a difference by going/not going to my catholic school (eww) that day.

Hope the people who could make a difference though try...

Why does the poster show kids holding balloons and floating up into the sky? Is this part of the plan?

Actually that's the twins. Theiy're sending them up to be weather balloons because they keep getting into daddy's liquor cabinet. Every little bit helps.

That's a poor excuse. In fact being absent that day IS making a difference. You won't be in school being brainwashed for a day. Instead you will add your voice to the growing chorus of those who oppose the war and the policies of the government. That is a much more important lesson than they teach you in school. It's doing your civic duty, exercising your first amendment right, showing the world (and yourself) that you actually give a shit about something other than yourself.

I just came back from the San Diego anti-war protest & there was a good turnout for San Diego, an overgrown military base. I heard it was the best turnout since the war began. There were good speakers, poets, singers, a congressman, and good vibes. It was peaceful & got it's point across to many locals & tourists.
