Hubby and I loved it . He even teared up at the end of it. I kind of liked the slowness of it at times though...but I'm a bit odd anyway. I loved how beautiful it was
I enjoyed it, I love Tim Burton movies, though, he's so weird and great ...Besides, Ewan McGregor is some sweeet eye candy ;D
I personally don't think it is overrated at all... it's a great movie, and I couldn't say enough about how much I adore Tim Burton.
As a great Tim Burton fan I was expecting a lot more from this movie, but it gave me the impression that he's tired out and just made it to stay in the directors' league. It was no comparison to Edward Scissorhands, or the Batman movies, or Beetlejuice. These were movies that stayed with me and I will always admire. Hopefully Tim will get back on course. The movie really wasn't terrible, but for a genius like Burton I hope I'm forgiven for saying that it was lame.
A lot of directors experience burn-out, even the good ones. Take Kevin Smith's "Jersey Girl" for example. It is nothing like his other movies.
I loved Big Fish. I thought it was sweet. I don't think Tim Burton is burnt out. I think TIm burton is obsessed with the fifties.
I liked Mars Attacks too lol. Same reason as you Shary . I haven't seen a Tim Burton film yet that I haven't liked. Some I've liked more than others, but overall, they're among my favorites.
