? I was not thinking 'alien' i was thinking 'fetus' wich in my mind is not a 'proper' baby yet.. I have not gone through this and see what you mean why i should not agree though.. it was just a cold hearted reponse and a bit of truth from myself.. horrid as it might have been.. if anything it was just a speculative point like you made in the first place.
Steady on, i don't subscribe to your views so could just as well call you a numbskull for believing such rubbish. I respect you have these kind of thoughts about life .. I apologise anyway.
I don’t know if I’d be as quick to suggest an analogy to Lucifer loving baby killers, nor jail time for those women, but I certainly share the sentiment.
y'know, if they could come up with a birth control that was 100% effective, then I wouldn't see why abortions would be needed except for in cases of non-consent (rape, incest). But abstinence is too difficult for most of us hedonists to deal with, especially with sex being proclaimed everywhere. I wish there wasn't a need for abortion, but I'm definately pro-choice. It's a woman's body and it's her choice. I do think that when two partners decide to have a child, that it should be a consultation between the two whether or not to keep that child... but unless it was completely planned, it is very much the women's choice.
However much you believe this, it isn't fact. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but what you've expressed here is a subjective opinion. There are many other faiths who'd interpret the cycle of life in different ways - who's to say you know better than them or they know better than you? So to go on to say: .... is no different from a catholic saying you're evil for masturbating.
I wouldn't ever have an abortion, but I think everyone deserves the right to make that decision for themself. Abortions will happen regardless of any laws passed anyway...
The question is do you enjoy life? Yes or no. This gift youv'e been given should not be taken from others. Isn't it too beautiful for that? Even adoption gives another life beauty.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Are you saying that because women can be raped that they ought to have the choice to abort? Or are you saying that rape should be legal? You have to make that quite certain. Someone less apt than myself in these matters might take what you just said as the justification of rape.
Can anyone tell me the difference between aborting a "fetus", and murdering a newborn? Let me also say, even though I'm not 100% "pro life," I think abortion is a huge slap in the face to all women. It's like, you expect a man to be responsible for his actions whether he wants to be or not, but but women are too stupid and inferior to be just as responsible for their actions. Women have the option of flushing away their uh-oh's and it's considered a "right", but men are just expected to deal with it based on the woman's decision. No matter what your opinion is on abortion, I don't think there is anything to justify this.
I totally agree with everything you just said. There's a really good philosophical argument on this called "Abortion and Fathers' Rights" by a gentleman named Steven D. Hales. I don't know if there's an online link to this argument, but it's worth reading.
my feeling is, whilst I personally could never have an abortion. Making it illegal is completely irrational, why force something like this underground. Women and girls will find a way to get rid of a baby if they don't want it, and if we can't provide a safe environment and proffessional care then you're going to get back alley abortions and dirty knives.
It's already been pointed out, just because something might be done "underground" is not a reason to make it legal. Understand that I am not pushing to make abortions illegal. I had one done 5 years ago, and even though it was the most horrible thing I've ever gone though it was a necessary decision. I have a problem with people who use it as a form of birth control (I know of at least 3 women who have had more than 2 abortions...one of them has had at least 5 that I'm aware of, maybe even more) and I have a problem with women using the laws of nature (it's MY womb, and men don't have to go through it...blah blah blah...) as an excuse for cutting out any other opinion. Unless you believe that god is a man and this is womans' punishment for whatever sins Eve commited, you can't blame a guy for not having a uterus. It still takes 2 people to create a baby, and both people, in most cases, should have a say in what becomes of that baby. If, small if, a man wants to raise the kid, while the woman does not, he should be given that chance....abortion is not something a woman should consider simply out of spite (as in, fuck you, this is my body and you can't have my baby) or for vanity reasons, like not wanting stretch marks. Unless you were born and raised in a cave, you should know that pregnancy is possible when you have sex. What divine right has been given to women to decide that they should not be held responsible for their own actions? This whole issue is an ugly one. There's so much more to it than most people are willing to see.
on the subject of adoption, there is not a line of applicatants arround the building waiting to adopt all the babies. The only adoption waiting list is for healthy WHITE babies. The rest ussually wind up growing up in foster care and/or "homes" Of course, most of the hypocritical bastards that scream about abortion being murder would never stoop to adopting a black child. assholes.
