I'm pretty sure I'm going. It sounds awesome! The only thing is that the price is pretty expensive for so few bands compared to alot of other festivals. Still, i really want to go and probably will!!!
This is the first and only year for Wannee. It's a one time deal at this point. Fantasma is the promoter and they're not going to comp tix to Paralounge the way that Mag Music does...so NO PARALOUNGE! Which by the way really sucks cause those boys put a lot of good old hard work into making the drum circles special. There's always enough cut firewood to accomodate large all-night circle fires, and of course their excellent drumming contributions will also be greatly missed, in the meager circles that will come together in spite of Fantasma's selfishness. I say that those of us drummers that show up, should wail away right in the main campground near the venues, rather than in our little out of the way corner of the campground, so that these promoters learn to adequately accomodate us in the future.
Apparently, I'm not the only one who would regret the absence of the P-lounge @ Suwannee. Some benevolent soul has seen fit to comp some tix to a few p-lounge members, and so it looks like we'll all be in our new/usual spot, off the end of the Pine Field, in the former renaissance fest area. That's now that drum circle camp. YaY! Also, I've been told that the Allman Bros are flying in and staying in a hotel in Live Oak. I find that difficult to believe as the best quality hotel in Live Oak is a Hokiday Inn. I'd thought/hoped that the boys would show up in one of those luxury, triple slide-out, diesel pusher motor coaches, and camp in the park for the night. My fantasy goes on to include Jaimo joining in the drum circle @ 3 AM. I'm still holding out hope for that one.
