I love the way my dreads feel after being recently washed. Not right after you get out the shower but as soon as the dry out completely. They feel so knotty and happy. I just love that feeling. Plus they smell so yummy...ummm Anyone else know what I am talkin about or is it just me???
haha i think i know what youre talking about. mine smell all peppermint-y goodness and all the flyaways havent yet come out so they're all pretty
yes! I love that feeling, I can't stop sniffing them all night. I think I end up sniffing the scent out. I hate the end of the week though, the day before I wash them I feel my head all itchy... yuck(then I know its time to wash, I have a schedule for it, lol).
yea my heads all itchy now, i think its time to wash them :Sits been quite a while i feel quite bad, ive been neglecting them. no one ever plays with them or shapes them except me so my back just looks terrible i need some dread lovin
I love them then too. They're so soft and fun and light. I agree with Earth Mama though. I hate the way they feel just before. ick. lol I also found it's easier to maintain them shortly after they've been washed (still at the stage where they want to undread at times).
OHHHH Yup I love IT!!! Mine smell like Cedar wood and tea tree I love it After I un-wrap my big towel from on my head and swish my hair back and then shake my head ahhhhhhhhhh such a nice feeling. I just washed yesterday! Oh and i got this new soap while i was away on my trip! it was only 4$ I go to go but i'll list ingredients later
Hmm...I actually like my hair when I'm not washing it. My roots are really nice and tight, and then after I wash, they loosen and my dreads feel smaller. So I like when they're a few weeks "dirty"...haha. I'm actually trying to go for a personal record...I'm not washing 'em until next wednesday...then it'll be 3 weeks for me...haha. But then again, it's really nice to feel the water on my scalp and to feel extra clean...
yeah mine seem to be angry when i wash them now, i dont know if its the soap i had been using, I just got some dr bronners magic hemp soap, anyone know how this will work?? is it good? i havent washed in a week and probly wont for another week or so cuz they wanna come undone when i wash em and i get aggrevated LOL..........
Funky-just put a nylon hose on em while you wash for the first few weeks or so. And I am glad to kno that everyone else knows exactly what I am talking about. And I also hate the way they feel right before they get washed. So how often do most of you wash your lil dreadies on average?

I just got done washin the dreadies with the knotty boy soap. I love that stuff-it smells so good. This is only the second time I have used it and I can already tell that it is helpin my dreads.
I sometimes go a few weeks before washing. My dreads always feel tighter and more puffed up after washing, but they tend to stick up every-which-way....so I like 'em more when they have a bit of grease in 'em.
