hey i am one of the biggest dead heads out there. if anyone knows of any shows or tours the dead or dark star or phil lesh and friends are doing please let me know. i cant belive phil is hosting the jammys. i dont know in my opinion the dead needs to stop doing covers and go back to doing their original music. how many times can you hear johnny b goode? well if anyone knows anything or wants to talk about the dead then let me know.
hey, i saw Dylan and the Dead down in Florida once. awesome show. sorry but i dont have any news for ya now
its not about what songs they play, as long as youre feeling it and they're feeling it. its about the vibe. as long as everyones having a great time. thats what matters. www.dead.net www.philleshandfriends.com http://www.hydra-music.com/ www.ratdog.com ^^check out those sites for the dates
Big Deadhead here! I agree with the response that it's all about the feeling..you know? Besides...sooooo much of the Dead's repetoire has been cover songs from day one! At first they were just a ballroom dance band doing almost all cover songs...c'mon, you're a deadhead...you should know that! Some of my favorite covers I have seen live (w/ Jerry) are....Baba O'Riely, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, The Weight, Gimme Some Lovin', Mama Tried, Big River, Around and Around, Shining Star, The Harder They Come, Just Like Tom Thumb Blues, Promised Land, Knockin on Heaven's Door, Desolation Row......................etc. etc. etc.
btw, the site for rat dog is http://www.rat-dog.com I'll be seeing Bob Weir and Ratdog at the Norva in April.
OMG...I am beginning to believe that I am the ultimate thread-killer....is there something wrong with me?
