Who's smarter men or women?

Both have obivous draw backs, and strong points, which do you think comes out on top mentally?

 

I think men do, but only slightly

 

I think this thread by you certainly tips the scales in favor of men

 

I thin we're both equaliy smart. we're both better at different things but one set of things aren't better then the other set of things.

on top of what though? what is the outcome that decided whos better?

I think men are more logic based and women are more feeling based.

not that a man's logic is more correct, or that a woman's feelings are more complex/genuine/reflective.

Just like different computers all do the same thing, but differnet specs modify different aspects. just like Mac's and Pc's are different, but both have huge advantages, disadvantages, social discriminations, requirements, compatabilities, etc.

If the measure were on an independent level then women would beat out men.

If the measure were on an independent task then men would beat out women.

Since the measure is collective men beat out women.

 

that said, women evolved to take care of and help their communities, while men evolved to solve problems, provide and direct/advance their communities

both are needed for any of these thigns to work, women wihtout men can fall into emotional uinproductivity, and men wihtout women can loose sense of their community and emotion and em/sym/ect.-pathy

i thinkwomen can manage people and men can manage situations? in a very general sense

 

eww no i hate it when people say that. im not even convinced that this is partially true. i know a lot of men who are just as sensitive and feeling based if not more than the women i know, i think the difference lies in the expression.

i for one am less sensitive than most of the guys i know and i always use logic and never "feelings". yuk!

It's not saying that men don't have feelings, or that women are more sensitive (thought they usaully are) women are just more feeling based

 

of course there will be cross overs. also, the way a person is brought up can change these things.

but we are all humans, and just as there are men who have less hair, or grow breasts, and women who grow beards or have deep voices, and there are hermaphrodites, there will be crossovers with the male/female thougth process.

but what you percieve in your male and female friends is only their expression of their mind remember, not their mind itself.
thats why we have psychologists, because the mind is something that is never shown, only its expression is, as someone said
