Hey all. Just curious if there are ay Dune fans out there. I personally love the series so far. I began reading the series with The Butlerian Jihad and am currently on House Harkkonen.

Any suggestions on the order in which to read the series. There's the original Dune series by Frank Herbert then there's two more series by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert, Frank's son. The first one is about the humanities uprising against the thinkng machines, and the second series is (so far) about the events leading up to the original Dune. Is it better to do it in the order the story takes place? Or would it be better to read Frank's original work and then read the preludes?

    Thanks.

I would say read the originals first since they are the originals. But I guess you have already started the books by the younger Herbert, so just keep on truckin'. You'll get to the old'ns eventually. They're all good so I guess it doesn't matter too much.
