hi i am doing a research assignment for school, and i was wondering if any of you might know of any websites that have statistics and information about pollution and other environmental effects that cars have on our planet.

also, do any of you have any specific info you think i should cover?

    Hi Allister,
you may want to do a small section on Canadian automobile production and sales. From what i've heard most of the cars in Canada are made from aluminum as opposed to steel. Aluminum takes a s*** load longer to decompose than does steel. Also, there are only 3 known locations that aluminum has been found in the world! Sorry I don't have much info on emmissions. Hope that puts you to a lead.

Even though i feel the whole thing is overblown to some degree.. it is wise to think that yes we all do a little damage and any little thing helps.. If we all don't give a FF then the we (not the planet) are doomed.

Take a look at Buckminster Fuller's Dymaxion Car. He was a visionary thinker. The car of tomorrow
