bit of debate... I must read up more on this subject, but there is one simple fact I think seems to not be highlighted. America lied and cheated it's way into the war on Iraq, it had it's own agenda and had decided to invade Iraq no matter what the outcome or opinions of the rest of the world, therefore how can anyone allow them to have any authoritive say over anything. The talk of a war on terrorism, but they are the single biggest terroist state the world has ever seen. I certainly wouldn't have put it past the right wing of America to have blown up it's own twin towers in 9/11 just as some insane way of giving it the right to do what it pleases else where in the world. The ultimate excuse is 'The war on terrorism'. Is a Nazi style state such an impossible thing to progress out of America today? I really wonder, Americas actions have done nothing to reduce the risk of terrorism or nuclear war, I would consider quite the reverse. At best Tony Blair fell for the right wing American spin/lies over the reasons for entering into a war on Iraq, or maybe he just lacked the balls to say no to America?

I will try to make the demo, it just isn't possible for this world to survive by continutally entering into violent conflicts. All you get is a greater cause for hatred and furthering killing.

Mathew, you got huge faith the west and its leaders and politics. I wish life could be so simple for me too.
... and I don't mean that you are a simple character, just that it would be nice - and simpler - if I felt I could rest easy in the knowledge that I trust the powers that be to do a good job.
Unfortunately I think that they are just human, and them damn things are seriously flawed when it comes to power and ruling! History has taught us that one lesson at least.

Well i was just questioning the interpretation of the comment by Ms Rice and it's usage within this thread.. I suppose you read the rest of my comments ?.. i don't deny this has been said , just that it does not mean that a attack is enevitable/pre organised or a reason to stick it on a placard ... I don't know Peace Phoenixs motives and was just speculating, i realise he does not like being rationalised before he has given a reason..but few reasons are ever given so i just say what i think ... He is welcome too come back and correct my thinking, but it is unlikely at this point (given this is a week or so old)...I have a gripe with 'troops out' as well given that they have been their so long and are doing a sterling job (on the whole)..

I understand and agree..but i don't think it is a legitamate or fair comment in this current situation.. To take it away from Peace phoenix for a minute these kinds of things are said all the time and i think it is fundementaly a case of extremes i am one extreme and these guys are another.. the truth is somewere in the middle i suppose...i am betting it is more my way than the anti war arguements tend to go.. arrogant ? possibly.

Awww someone036... will let you know, but I think you shouldn't worry about it, I think you'll be old enough long before any of this has any chance of being resolved, so you'll have many more opportunities!

I'm not sure if that's a positive comment exactly, hmm well, rolling stones gather no moss... (what that has to do with it I know not), I smoke another cigerette, try to forget, try to forget... forgive me, my psyche is drifting off else where....... . . . (maybe that's the problem, over 2 years without a cigerette?)

They got the guns.... have we got the numbers?
