I really like the arguement there but with who were you getting mad at? Did you search for the answers of life and not find them? P.S Why ride on life when you can be apart of the wave driving it... I have no devil.
i thought about this too. But the underlying truth through out the whole search for the purpose is, life is what you make it and no matter what we will never know for sure what happens next. We can only see death from an outside physical perspective. It's not possible that we know what happens in the mind of people who've died, because their parts that they use to communicate are no longer functional. And who knows whether or not the mind and body are a package deal? (although the only evidence I can think of say they are) What I know is that the mind is very powerful and we can percieve/create our own reality through it. So I look at it this way: 1.Death is a part of reality 2.Our minds create the reality we acknowlege 3.Presently our minds could create whatever reality we want to be there after we die. It's like there's only one door to a "room" of mysteries, that locks behind you once you enter. Whether or not you like what you find, your there and that's that. I prefer working with what I know. I'm reminded of algerbra class right now, and i hate all those problems with variables all over the place. Anyway, it's like the body + mind(life) = 1+1(1), of course that equals 2. But the body + mind(death) is like 1+1(x) and that could equal whatever.
My friend the point of living is to experience ! The good, the bad and the mundane. The doors you choose to open determine the immediate or distant path of your future. The doors you choose to close will remain a mystery. Your journey lies in your hands. How you choose to react to the events in your life determine your character and your well being. Trust me life is worth living, there will be time enough for your demise, no need to rush it along. Explore everything, open your mind, your heart and your will to all that comes before you and seek knowledge from your experiences. There is a lesson to be learned in all the events of your life. Dont be afraid to be unique, dont be afraid to be joyous, dont be afraid to embrace sadness, and dont be afraid to love. Dont waste your time with hatred or bigotry. Life is a miracle for the curious and a hell for the miserable. All the occurences of life are equal in that you choose, you decide how to live. Be aware of your life and your surroundings, and walk with your eyes open. Choose wisely but dont fear too much the mistakes you will make along the way. Learn from them, use them as tools and allow yourself to be human. Life is amazing......keep your soul available to wonders that lie before you and mold yourself into whatever it is you wish to be. My warmest wishes for a full and rewarding journey to you !
No one really knows what happens when you die...and religion (in my opinion and no disrespect to anyone) is just a bunch of bullshit. You need to believe in something true. But the folks who made up religion and their beliefs on what happens when you die were living. They had no clue really..and the voices that supposedly told them what happens when you die could have been just that in their head. No one knows for sure what happens...thats the intrigue. Now on the point of commiting suicide..well...I guess its a personal choice..which is obvious. But personally I don't think that I am ready for what is to come in the afterlife. I mean if my life were to be taken from me that would be different because I wouldnt have a say. But I think there is so much on this Earth to enjoy that why die? To know? Well eventually we will all know one day..What is the rush.. Live life to the fullest and enjoy the pains and the pleasures because it is good. Do something good with your life. Enjoy it. Life is what you make it and death, well no one knows for sure.
I'm convinced that once we die, it's a wrap. There will be no pearly gates, no reincarnation, no floating around as an aimless ghost, nor will we wake from a long ass dream. We just won't be, like we weren't before we were. Life is pointless. When I say this people look at me like I'm insane. "Well, why even live then?". Because, I like Fruity Pebbles, sleeping late, thinking about why we're here, sex, reading, etc. Very mundane activities, but activities that I enjoy none the less. I'll always have little things in my day to day existance to make me not want to go just yet. Once you've climbed Mt. Everest (if that's you're life long passion) and you just don't see any reason left for living, then by all means, you should be allowed to end it. There is no reason for you to prolong the inevitable. Of course you'd be wasting the rest of your life...if at one point after it was over you'd be able to look back on it and regret dying so soon. But, I don't think you'll be given that opportunity. Once it ends you won't feel regret over moments wasted. It won't matter, you'll be dead.
This leaves the door wide open for me to experience an immense amount of pressure to make sure people view me in a good light after I'm gone. Now I can't have any fun!
DSUniverse > 0 Entropy is always increasing. All things move toward equalibrium. Eventually the universe will be an evenly distributed cloud of lukewarm gas. This relates to your life in that no matter what you do or how hard you try, everything will amount to nothing. Despite haveing 10,000 descendents, your genes will eventually die out. No matter what great deeds you acomplish, the universe will eventually end. Now that you know that nothing matters and everything you do is pointless, ask yourself: are you awake? Is this real? Don't you get it? This is all a dream. None of this is real. I'm not sure about you, but I'm not here right now. This is all a game.
ok sure i agree with u, it IS a game and an illusion and all that, but we wouldn't be playing the game if it weren't necessary... would we??? i sorta think that realising the dream is like waking up. its like saying, ok so im playing the game and im going to play it good and im going to help others play it well too. so thats the point of living. just to live. and let others live.
Life isnt about being born and dying. Its about what you do between those two events. I personally dont believe that i have been put here for a purpose by a higher being for a purpose, but that doesnt stop me from making my leaf have a meaning. If you can create your own purpose, then life is worth living, and being born and dying has very little to do with that.
Live a while. Ask these questions in ten or twenty years. (Everyone gets caught in the trap of looking for that one ultimate truth). Don't make that mistake. There are actually many ultimate truths; many of them you can make up as you go. Let me suggest this: as Christianity is a faith in which other people 'matter', don't give up on us just yet.
Dont look for the truth in life man, thats impossible. Why not look for the truth in You and then you will be able to take on anything:sunglasse
If life give you lemons, make lemonaid; then find someone who's life has given them vodka, and have a party.
