I know some of you might not like these threads but if you want to listen to these songs, feedback is great!

before you say anything, i will be getting singing lessons as soon as i have all my shit sorted with an album worth of songs i think are good

    Right click and save target
or copy these url's into your webbrowser url box

the (third) last one was the first of this 'series' of love songs, therye in no order, all recorded with shitty headset-mic and mixed with adobe premiere

when i record in studio ill add some percussion

    edit: The saying added

I think its a good start Bill. Your vocals need a little work but for the most part the only thing you should improve is the sound quality.

my only vocal training is being an actor (knowing how to use my diaphragm) and singing my ass off metal tunes that are clearly out of my vocal range, and lots of david bowie and beatles.

i like singing higher but i have more trouble keeping tone and pitch. my voice is more suited to ranges lower than i like writing for. i can sing low ranges well but i dont like them nearly as much for vocals.

if you would like to hear other music of mine, ive got some midi files here

do u luv tthe beatles and dylan or what lol
    nice mixing
makes me want to get sonar working so i can add tracks to my songs
anyway i just use single tracks
i think dubbing ur own voice and sounds over your own voice and sounds can cause problems anyway for live performances, but makes for beautiful recordings

I only listened to the first one, but I think it's good. Obviously, if you want to publish CD's you'd need to get some lessons, but you have talent.

i think the songwriting is pretty good, you do need those voice lessons tho. vocally you have a lot of potential, you just need to learn what to do with your range.

oh and BIll's not Hendrix... no offence Bill.

go for those lessons. keep in mind tho that they're not for everybody, so you might not like 'em. what worked for me was just singing a lot, not taking lessons (although i did), so keep an open mind about it, if you don't like them after taking four or five lessons, then you prolly won't like them at all.

yea i took about 4 lessons 5 years ago right out of high school and then put the guitar back down
all i learned was some extremely simple finger drills and scales and didnt play for about an entire year
then i started smoking herbs constantly and i couldnt put my guitar down
i didnt start singing tell i felt comfortable with my strumming(about three years later lol!)

anyway u dont need any lessons
as far as the way of things is concerned lessons could potentially limit your style as much as they could evolve it
    hahaha
    that's unlikely

ive heard many professional bands that dont sing as well as bill does and many musicians who cant play as well anyway
    but
    they took their lessons
and drank their orange juice and ate their cereal
and can create without fail a perfect studio sound
    that satisfies the monkey mind
is totally void of artistic talent
and makes lots of people rich and millions of people nuts
and sucks live but if you listen to the record all the time u cant tell cause all u hear is the record anyway
    hahaha

Cool. Finally got around to listening to these and Bill these are great songs. I like your lyrics. This is good music, soulful. Def keep going, polish up, I'll get a cd from ya.

add: I want to say when I say 'polish up' I just mean recording quality, not like conform to accepted marketability, standard singing practices, etc.... hope that makes sense.

the best album i think ever made is at johnfrusciante.com
its a free internet album his fans voted a name for
    low quality recording
but totally free flowing powerful spiritual vibes and unreal creativity
I also prefer unmastered bob marley anyway....
So naturally amateur unmastered stoner bill is way coo by me
    anyway im stoned right now
