Woo-hoo!!! SCI baby! THe line up this year is so superbly amazing!!! Myself, teleonomic, and ambers11 are all on the volunteer staff for wakarusa. We are super stoked, and counting down the days....we're gonna hit up kerrville folk festival first though. You've got to support the undiscovered talent of the future, as well as the amazing talent that is already out and about.
Keep you eyes peeled for us, and we'll look for you. we'll have one big happy hipforums family!!!

 

I'm going just haven't gotten my tix yet.
If your route takes you thru Missouri get your get your gas there before you enter Kansas. Gas is almost 15-20 cents less per gallon in MO. That ol' gas price goes up as soon as you cross the state line.
I'll be bringing my giant 4ftX 6ft "HIP FORUMS MEET-UP sign that I was gonna use at Spookstock. I'm gonna try to make it to the May Schagstock so maybe some of us will be able to meet before Wakarusa.
We all should try to camp near each other and if we can't do so, schedule a time/place for a meet-up. I've never been to Wakarusa before, any suggestions for time/place? btw: how hard is it to get party favors past security and into the actual venue sites?

 

i am coming from north kansas city, MO. this years line up is awesome, but missing Keller, and Robert randolph. oh well waka or bust

 

I'm planning on going. I'll probably be alone, so if any of you want to meet up, that would be lovely.

 

To Neoteny and all the folks coming from the SE or are going across southern MO to get to Wakarusa.... I don't know what route you'll be taking but I have a suggestion. Take HWY 60 across sothern MO as it's a beautiful scenic highway that goes through the Mark Twain National Forrest. If you take Hwy 60 across Southern MO to I-44 then take exit 1 off I-44 to get to HWY 69 N. to Lawrence you'll be going about 8 miles from my place near Galena KS. We could all met near here and continue on in a caravan to Wakarusa. That way we can make sure that we'll all get there together and camp near each other.

Im coming from St. Louis. Probably going alone so Im looking for a ride companion.

 

i may go..but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna miss the groovavan..i have to work mon-thursday..and they are playing a pre show early in the week..so..that leaves me behind..i am not sure what's gonna happen yet..i'd really like to be there..if i do drive i go right thru st. louis..

 

This is the only fest I have got tix for so far, not missing this one THIS year (last year I had a ticket and actually missed it, foolish me, long story)!! Am checking my map for that Hwy 60 to I-44 route, etc, would love to caravan with some of you. See you all there!!!

I can't wait for this shit, its going to be like a [bonnaroo 2002] reunion for me, all the crazy folks i partied with there are going to be rolling to this fest too! its like a jam-head group of 30 crazy-beautiful people......this is going to be an experience for sure.....

 

Signs....Make sure to look for my Hipforums Meet-Up sign. I'm thinking we should schedule the unofficial Hipforums meetup for 'bout 2:00 Sat. afternoon. Perhaps the folks that have been there before can suggest a place for the meet up. I'll have my huge *ss 4ftx6ft Hipforums Meet UP sign that I was gonna take to Schwagstock. It'll be cool to meet ya'll and get a big ol' group picture.


I'll be maning my Photomax booth on Thursday, Friday and Sunday so stop by, say high and check out my wares.

 

I'm a volunteer myself, I don't know what I'll be doing, but meeting up sounds awesome! Schwagstock 'eh? I was thinking about going to that as well. AT98booboo, it seems we have a vey similar summer planned out... cool!

Got the Postcard about the fest at Langerado and I am def. going now considering that I won't be doing the Roo this year. Kanasas here I come!
