why does my dog eat hemp?

Barney loves to eat hemp. He eats it all of the time. I always find little piles of beads that used to be on my hemp but the hemp is gone because he ate it and he doesnt eat the beads.Does anyone know why barney likes hemp so much?

 

I don't know, but my dogs, especially one, are the same way. I keep my hemp stuff kept up away so she can't eat it... but whenever we are snuggling she usually tries to get a nibble or two of my hemp jewelry. When I am making a piece of hemp jewelry, I have to put her in another room or something sometimes because she won't stop trying to eat the strands of hemp hanging down. She loves it. She looks so content chowing down on it. LOL

 

Maybe dogs just like getting stoned. Can you get stoned by eating woven hemp?

 

No, its probably the same reason they eat grass. For the fiber content, and it probably feels good on their gums.

 

Didnt you know marijuana is a natural part of a dog's diet? Long before man was domesticated and marijuana grew naturally and was not persecuted dogs ate the natural herb as a suppliment to their sparce diet. With the invention of eukanuba dog products this THC defficiency is replaced by synthetic compounds that make the dog complacent and apathetic. If your canine friend should run into spare marijuana nugs laying around your home, its natural instinct is to eat it. So please leave you weed laying around. Your dog will love you for it.

i did i made him a hemp toy he loved it and ran around with it for about 5 minutes and then ....he swallowed it ....it was sweet while it lasted

Just think of how small dog's brain, nose, lungs and tomachs are....
Please STOP GETTING UR DOGS HIGH, they will have a heart attack.
Understand, I'm not wishing for anything bad to happen to any dog, but eventually it WILL happen.
I've seen it happen at the hospital and some dude that I knew used to smoke with his dog, one day that 2 year old dog never woke up.
Please help your pets and prevent them from getting hurt or dying like this.
I have nothing against smoking...but please remove ur pets from the room you are going to smoke in.

Unless you don't care about ur pets, they don't know better...they count on you...be good to them!

But if you dog loves pot is because of you and you smoking it around him=not good at all. I hope nothing happens to your dog, honestly.
But I don't think I see dogs in the corners looking for weed.
If a dog likes pot is because of his/her owner.

Just think of the dogs size and organs, and then think of how strong weed is for us...our size....

Anyways, I'm not here to make enemies, not at all.
