Subliminal Messages and messages in backmasking are 2 different things. But anyways, they are real you can download the mp3s and play them backwards. In MOST cases you have to listen real hard to hear anything since anything you do hear is coincidental.

A girl once commented my I-dunno-what-band shirt with something like "don't these bands have satanic messages if you play their cds backwards?" and I said "well you don't actually have to play the cds backwards to hear any satanic messages..."
They're not very good satanic messages anyway really? The only people who are gonna play them back are the people who wants to hear something Satanic, your not really going to reach out and grab people with some reverse message that most peeps can't bebothered to find, also the messages only seem to come to the surface years later... even then no-one can decide if they really are or not??? doesn't sound like a very useful means of communication to me... One track I know that does contain a message backwards is the last track of Madonnas 'Like a prayer album', (oops, did I admit I have a Madonna album?) ... I had a feeling that was Satanic or something, but I can't remember for sure as it was some time ago when I tried it... Maybe I'll do it later if I remember and get back to this virtual space about my findings if no-one else does it first! hey ho peeps.....
Yes but that's the whole point, I mean, you can hear the satanic messages if you play the cd forwards too. A lot of cds I own have explicit satanic and pro-suicide messages all over them. I mean damn, there are albums entitled "Kill for satan" "Kill yourself or someone you love", "Teach children to worship satan"... where would you need subliminal or reversed messages for with cds like that?
yeah, well you wouldn't.... I wouldn't expect to find them their... so I agree I guess, people like to find things to give a dark edge to something that isn't dark... or maybe an artist could think by having something like that in there music will help them appeal to the less mainstream audience as well..... I dunno... who knows.. as you say, if you want satanic music, there is plenty of it
