sensory deprivation (i think i spelled it right) also i heard of native american walking out in the desert with out drinking or eating and see visions also i heard somethin about going into a like steam room and haveing visions to
Drumming and/or Dancing for long periods of time can certainly give you a natural high and make you feel like you've elevated your consciousness, although I must admit dehydration is probably a contributing factor. I almost fainted a couple times from dehydration in my punk rock mosh pit days.
-a guy i know, told me he once fasted for a week and then drank the blood from a poisones snake with some strange tribe. -also some indians perform the sun dance, where they peirce hooks through the skin on their back and hang up in a tree until the hooks rip out. -if your in a dark room for about a week your pinial gland will stop producing melatonin, instead the pinial gland starts pumping pinoline, which is a MAO inhibitor and inhibits serotonin uptake. This means that serotonin does not degrade or get taken up properly which leads it to form compounds such as DMT
yea I wanna know about the dark room thing too . Is that why when in some jails when they put you in a room with no light or anything then they go crazy or some shit and hate it there, I dont know im high and am thinking.
iv never tryed it personally, but thats what the biochemists are saying happens when one is deprived of light for about a week. dmt is a naturally occuring chemical in the brain, and i guess light and sensory deprivation is one way of releasing a flood of this chemical in the mind. locked in a dark room for a week seems pretty extreme though, that would be a long week.
And what about smoking herb during that week? Gotta have something to do while hanging around in the dark Think it would muck up the process because of the lighter? If so then you could create a hole in the door, insert pipe, seal it from light with the bowl on the outside and have your friends come by to fill it and light it. ha, that would be great. ... and Nathan, might as well muster up another one of those, because, yep you guessed it....
