Don't make me change my mind. Welcome to my 2500 post and the topic for today is "What foreign language should I try to learn?" This is a poll and I will list 5 foreign languages and you, the voters, will pick one and I will try my darndest to learn it.
Learn German.... I want to learn it... I dont know why... Just cause... And thats why you should learn it... Just cause
_______________ it's kind of fun. I tried to learn it in school but I lost interest. I can say: Goodin ta (I know this isn't how it's really spelled but I'm trying to get the sound.) It means Good Morning.
When i went to germany the only things i was able to say was Good morning, good day, goodnight and i love you.... I wish i had learned more
Guten Tag. German rocks... it's actually not that bad to learn if you already know English (which you obviously do). The rules are pretty good except for dative and accusative stuff, that confused the hell out of me. That's what I get for skipping. Plus the grammatical exceptions are few and far between, and pretty simple to memorize. French is an awesome language, but it's a lot harder to learn when you're older.... the accent can be very difficult and the exceptions to grammatical rules are all over the bloody place.
I learned German & French in high school, but I deeply regret not ever taking Spanish. It would have come in handy in so many jobs I've held, etc. There are a lot of jobs out there that if you're bi-lingual (English/Spanish) they pay you more. I've never used my knowledge of the German or French language.
