I saw an interview with her on Sky News (british news station) in the run up to the elections and couldn't believe the shit she was soming out with, she thought America should liberate all of the middle east and convert them to Christianity. I was shocked to say the least.
My problem with her is the same problem that I have with Michael Moore: It's all about the money. The issues take a back seat the the money. It's okay to want to make money and want to be rich, but when you present yourself as someone who is trying to help America and what you're really doing is trying to make money, that is a problem. That's my problem with a lot of politicans. But she's worse than most politicians. Our country has always had a gap in our politics. We've always had difficulty compromising between parties. It's thickened now because there's a very controversial war going on. And she's feeding on that gap. If she really cared about making this country a better place, she wouldn't be trying to separate us more, she would be offering up ways to bring the parties together. Our country is having so much trouble finding common ground between it's people. We just argue and argue and argue about everything and never get anything done. And people like her and Michael Moore are just throwing gasoline on that fire because they know that arsonists can make good money in the black market. I somehow doubt either of these two people even care about this country. Here is something that will make these people faint if you say it to them: Being a republican doesn't make someone a brainwashed fascist. Sorry, Mikey. My best friend voted for Bush, and she is certainly not one. And Ann, being a liberal doesn't mean you hate America. I am a proud liberal, and I do care very deeply about this country. That is why I think that there are things about this country that need changing- because I want to make it a better place to live. That doesn't mean I hate this country, it means I care about it's future and the future of the people who live in it. This is a love thing, not a hate thing. I'll offer up another bit of reality: Just incase being exposed to some of these people who get rich off of convincing you otherwise has confused anyone, remember: The democrats, the republicans, the liberals, the moderates- whatever political party you identify with- we are not enemies. We are the same country, and we are not fighting a civil war. Sometimes I think people forget that.
Somehow, I would be surprised if Ann Coulter actually believed even half the shit that spews out of her mouth.
The entire staff of the Government/Politics department of my high school reads Ann Coulter. They're also fans of O'Reilly and Hannity. I suppose that says a lot about the Government/Politics department of my high school. Perhaps that explains why my Government teacher actually told us that he didn't see how the Patriot Act in any way violates the Constitution. You wouldn't believe the crap he told us. I give him full credit for causing EVERY student in my class (excluding myself, obviously) to fully support Bush in the 2004 elections. I couldn't believe I was the only one thinking straight in that classroom.
It really doesn't matter whether or not Ann Coulter believes anything she says, the problem she represents is simple, if not necessarily obvious. Ann Coulter preaches intolerance, hatred and ideological destruction for anyone who would dare to disagree with her rather limited view of humanity. Ever since the American Revolution (probably even since the earliest civilizations), there has always been some measure of disharmony, strife and hostility in the eternal dialogue between the political parties, between left and right, between competing ideas about which policies our nation should enact in order to resolve our issues. In the sanest, if not the best of times, this dialogue has been, more or less, a civilized debate. But during those times of social upheaval and fundamental change, most notably the 1860s, the 1960s and the past ten or fifteen years, the conversation devolves into a cultural war or even a civil war. Ann Coulter seems to have a vested, lucrative interest in widening the growing ideological rifts that threaten our civilization. She has books to sell, so, rather than engage in open dialogue with a wide variety of people with different points of view in an honest search for truth, Ann Coulter approaches every one her "issues" as though it were a winner-take-all duel to the death. She seems to seek the dehumanization of her "enemies" in order to win whatever it is she thinks she is winning, you can't really call what she does a debate. The sad thing is that there are people out there who believe her. There are too many Americans who get their information about the "culture war" from her self-promotional, attention-getting tantrums. What is worse, she is only one of several people (including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage, etc.) who are amassing wealth, fame and power by inciting a growing number of Americans into hating (yes, hating) half of their fellow Americans. Ann Coulter's way is certainly not a path toward a healthy civilization. I refuse to hate Ann Coulter and her cohorts, but in every way that is not their way, I refuse to support their campaign to turn my world into one torn apart by ignorance, intolerance, fear, hatred, violence and destruction. It is not my way. Peace and Love,
The difference between Ann Coulter and Michael Moore is that however much you may disagree with Michael Moore, he will always defend your right to do so, and he will always defend Ann Coulter's right to speak her mind as she sees fit no matter how much of a dumb bitch he (and I) think she is. Ann Coulter, on the other hand, thinks that Michael Moore (and myself) are traitors to this country and should be locked up or even killed for speaking our minds. She does not afford the same courtesy to liberals as they consistently afford to her, so fuck her. Fuck her with a giant banana in a circular motion! Also, I think these comparisons to Michael Moore are springing up because you're only thinking of Farenheight 9/11. Before that, in my opinion, his movies were much more open ended, asking questions rather than making statements. Bowling for Colombine for example, could hardly be described as pro-gun-control propaganda. He makes a lot of the fact that Canada has just as many guns as we do but much less gun violence, establishing that the guns are not the problem, and spends most of the movie asking (but never really reaching an answer) as to what, in fact is the problem.
Anne Coulter is merely one of the rabid hatemongers ready to call anyone who demands accountability by the powerbrokers in Washington to the founding precepts of the nation enshrined in the Constitution and Bill of Rights "un-American". In point of fact though, it is she and her vitriolic ideology which are "un-American" in claiming to "love the nation" whilst actually hating its citizens. If the founders were alive today you can bet that Anne and her ilk would as quickly see them strung up as "liberal traitors". Such is the very mindset which helped sweep Hitler and his band into power and to solidify their transition to brutal dictatorship. One would expect our nation, which sacrificed so many to combat such wanton hatred, should have learned from hindsight to recognise the clear socio-political signs of its resurgence. Apparently, however, a mere 3 generations is sufficient in the modern information age to create sufficient congnitive disconnect to give it ample room to grow and flourish and begin the process once again.
i think that she is a puppet from the true neocon. Because she is a chick the neoconservatives uses her to convert to their cause young and not so young mens .
Yep. I've always maintained that if she looked like, say, Janet Reno (no offense, Janet), no one would pay the slightest attention to one word that came out of her raving-lunatic mouth.
if she posed on the cover of her next book naked covering everything vital with the gold ak47 they seized from saddam covering everything r rated I guarentee you this country would be going even farther right and kelsey grammer (sideshow bob) is a sell out, he fishes w\ bush sorry had to get that off my chest
Probably not. She possesses the ability to string words together into a sentence, so she can't be as stupid as she acts.
I read somewhere that Bill Maher and Ann Coulter dated a few years ago. What the fuck what he thinking? I'd wager that he never played hide-the-salami with her for fear of getting a frostbitten dick.
i think we already established her having a sandy vagina so it wouldnt be frostbitten it would get sanded off
Actually, if opportunity arose, I'd probably kill her. Just run to Canada... they won't send you back. Haha I've got a couple of her books, and read them both... whenever she backs herself up, she uses newspaper opinion columns to do so...
