i am sure this question has been addressed before and in another thread but i felt the need. when i was growing up. there were people i looked up to! some possesed the qualiteis of people that i should have outhers did not! the question to me and anyone that reads this is. do these young pepole have more oppotunity to make the world a more compasionet planet. i my self would answer yes! becase they are young does that exlude them from us older folks? i truely believe that these kids get it!!!! these are the men and woman that will make the world what it will be tomorrow! as i see they have the respect for elders. have compasion for there fellow man regardless of race, religion creed, crutch, crud, or any other type of sh865&t we can say. so i say thise to all of you who think you need guidence take it and do what you know is right you have the opportunity more than any one before you!
We do have a better opportunity, with all the crazy advancement in media technology and all the lessons from past generations, I'd say we're in a better position to make a difference. Not to be too pessamistic, but we have a long way to go my friend.Making the world a better place doesn't happen overnight For every enlightened person, there are five that are ignorant,stubborn, and close-minded. Although many young people see the problems in the world, I think many feel overwhelmed and helpless. Kids become cynycle alot younger. I've realized that we can't change the world, but if we can be a positive influence on 1 or 2 people, it's a great start. Hopefully creating a domino effect of kindness and positive change. Yes, our generation is in a better position, will we do it, probably not. All we can do is hope that we pave the road a little wider for the next.
I think the southern people got it. The true farmers, no fucking rednecks. The nicest people I've ever met arn't hippies but are poor folk. Living of a farmer's wage. They have been the nicest wether the long hair or not. Might vote Bush but got the mindset of change. I think we as "hippies", should focus more on the outside gang. Because really, republicans do stand for morals, just don't know how to use them. Change that and you got yourself a revolution.
well cosmic charlie you can change the worl and you will do it by the influance you exercise on those one or two its wether that influence is positive or negative! keep your faith be positive it does not happen over night but as you said the domino effect have you ever heard of the hundreth monkey ?
