I don't know if he's been mentioned before, but he's one of my favorite musicians, much more political than Dylan ever was (and that's a good thing! I still absolutely adore Dylan, though). Albeit, some of his lyrics are a bit dated, but great none-the-less. I know everyone's always talking about Dylan, but I think Ochs was just as great in many ways...
couldn't agree with you more! he's such a romantic tragic figure and an amazing songwriter. i saw him perform a number of times in the 60's. his suicide in the 70's upset me greatly. he's amazing. deezee
