OMG! That made me laugh so hard. Oh that was good. You know, you're probably right! I've been obsessing about my dreads. And I'm going back and forth between "they're OK" and "they're crap" ROFL

I've also been nesting around the house. For the past three nights I cleaned until midnight. Durring the day...I'm iffy. But, when it comes time for bed I'm going nuts cleaning. I don't think my kitchen has ever been this clean! lol

My due date was the 5th. So, the baby literally can be here any day now. My husband is out to sea atm (he's in the Navy) and will be home tomorrow. Everyone keeps on joking that the baby is waiting for Daddy to come home. hehe Her name is going to be Kiriana Marion. :) I'm so excited!

    *hugs*

They don't look as bad on cam as they feel. The undeneith is totaly undreaded. And it feels more like my hair is just clumped together in areas than dreaded. I know...I need a better shampoo/soap. If the baby comes this weekend then I'll be able to go to the store and buy some when dh gets paid next week (he'll be out to sea again).

Here are individual dreads. One from the front and one from the back. The back one is one of the ones that feels like it's just hair clumped together and not really knotted.

You see, if your where going completely natural this would be new breaking loveliness for you, this stage would take quite some time! like wow my hair is finally "clumping" together and forming. see if you could forget about your hair and look at it in 6 months you would be just outstanded!

Everyone keeps saying that "after 6 months they'll be fine" but I've had mine for almost 7 months and they are just started to actually dread. They unraveled about a month after I did them but I just left them be and now finally they are starting to knott up a bit. I just hope they will start forming faster now.

now, you don't have to listen to me because i don't have dreads but...

you need a new shampoo!! i made a pretty good dread and then used a normal shampoo and within a month the dread was almost completely gone....

for the last 2 weeks i've been using dr. bronners bar soap and stopped combing my hair and i can already see my hair starting to knot up! :D

Yeah, I want to get dr. bronners. Unfortunatly I couldn't find it at Henry's when I went last time. They may have it at Trader Jo's but I haven't been able to get over there in a while (not 100% sure where it is and I'm not willing to drive far atm).

I think my problem is that I focus too much on stuff. I'm just keeping them pulled up or in a wrap thingie I made for now and playing with them when I'm in the mood. At least that's the plan this moment. Tomorrow I may think differently. lol Gotta luv those mood swings (instead of going between happy and pissy I go between loose and anal ROFL).

    *hugs* and thanks guys.

I am just over the 6 month point. And they are def. more knotty in parts, but loose and crazy at others. But I love em just the same-Like Buddah said this is the point where most people second guess, there are days where I cant stand the way they are. But most days I love the crazyness, it fits my personality. I love to just take my hands and just go crazy with the rubbing. I dont want neat conformed dreads, that kinda defeats the purpose of having em.

Why does everyone have so much trouble finding Dr. B's? I dunno about up north, but it's sold in every drug store down here. Walmart, I would guess, has it too. Plus, they have a website.

Maybe it's to do with location? I've never seen it for sale in any stores in the UK. But I can get it on eBay but no where else online.

Lol Mandy it's coz Ozzy didn't seem to get my point in the old threads thread... how new people randomly reply to really old threads. I happened to be browsing an old thread, and rather than just bump it I decided to make a "look at this" thread for it. Then I randomly bumped three old threads (which some of you noticed and others didn't...which was nice coz it proved my point) :p
