Has anyone ever used either of these products... I would love to use them because tampons are a waste of money and horrible for the earth! I would have to ues the diva cup because im allergic to latex... but I was just wondering if anyone uses these and if you could tell me anything about it! thanks ladies!

i use the keeper. (well not right now, i have a new baby so no need for it for awhile hopefully. i love breastfeeding, lol)
it leaks a bit for me, but i have a mild bleeding disorder so my periods are a bit on the heavy side. i just back it up with a cloth pad. it feels great to be helping the environment!
i also use these cups called 'instead' they are shaped more like a diaphram and don't slip as much in my opinion. Here's the website.

It says they are disposible, but i know many women wash them out and reuse them. it's the same idea as the diva or keeper, but i like the shape of these ones.

I use the Diva Cup and love it. Doesn't leak, can't feel it once it's in, and it's pretty easy to get in and out. PLus, if you decide that you don't like it, you can return it and get your money back.

I use the keeper. I like it. I also use sea sponges which I really love. They are both very comfy. Sometimes I find the keeper annoying or moves around, I also find it painful to take out, compared to putting it in. Overall, these things are more cost efficient, better for you & the environment and let you get in tough with your menstruating self. :)

Since I always have a bottle of water with me anyways, I just rinse it with that over the toilet and when I get home I make sure to wash it well. Plus, since I find that it holds quite a bit, often when I'm in public I don't need to do anything until I get home.

NatureGoddess69, if you keep having problems w/the Keeper being painful, you might try the Diva Cup. Women that I've spoken to that have tried both usually say the the Diva Cup is much more flexible and comfy.

Okay, maybe a silly question... I asked about the divacup & keeper a couple months ago and I really planned to try it back then. I love the idea of saving both the environment & money :) But the problem is I'm also a little apprehensive about trying it (tampons took me a while too :p) and when I actually got my period I get really icky feeling, and I don't feel adventurous to mess with *anything* new, especially not down there... could a divacup be brought in & taken out to practice how it works on some day when I don't have my period, or on the last day when there's very little flow? Or would that only make it harder? I know that wouldn't work with a tampon 'cause they're such a pain (in more than one way :)) to take out when dry, but these aren't dry material like a tampon is...

I don't see why you couldn't. For me it's not anymore uncomfortable to take out at the end of my period when it's super light. I say try it. If you don't like it, you can return the Diva Cup for any reason in the first year. That's one of the reasons I got it.

...might sound like a silly question but can you pee with it in? or do you have to remover it when you pee? (i only ask becasue i only ever use towels so i dont know with tampons either, i just remember as a kid my mum would always remove her tampon when she needed the loo... but i dont know if its essential or preference)

or thr cups, but some women naturally press down rather hard and the cup will bulge. I prefer to empty and reposition then.
Also, if there is more "lengthy business" in the loo, the cup will move.
