can someone help me?? us...?? see we are slowly gettin a buncha farm critters,, an many of them that we get cheap gotta be bottle fed,,an it seems that the milk replacer not only has dried skimmed milk in it,,it also has,,ANIMAL FAT!!! an its even a greater amount than the milk content in the stuff... so to us it seems horribly wrong to feed a vegan animal such as a baby goat or cow such,,well,,UN'vegan things... could someone offer us a vegan alternative milk replacer for goats and cows??err kids an calves?/ much thanks..
I am not sure but I will go and check for you but I think you will find that the animal fat they are referring to is the fat that is found in milk..butter..etc... Milk is really fatty and this is therefore animal fat as it is from animals and has to be labelled as such....vegans do not consume any animal products but strictly speaking there is no such thing as a vegan animal when it is a baby as it is consuming it's mama's milk...I am pretty sure they do not mean fat as in fat from the flesh of animals...but I will try and check this for you. Maybe you could ring the comany that makes this stuff and check in order to put your mind at rest? Anyhow fat is a really important part of any animals diet, particularly young things as it aids in all sorts of development so please just make sure you are checking out everything and doing the best thing by these little crtters that you can.... good luck
What? Your forcing an animal to be vegan? Dont impose your will on the creatures man - thats so uncool.
hh, remember that human milk is about 50 percent cholesrerol (an average over 2 years) the guys you are feeding will grow much faster and need that energy. Let 'em have it. Should be all right.
