Life is full of promise and possibility. Not only are we fortunate to be here on Earth at this time of major transitions, but we have the added challenge of confronting and defeating the darkness and deception prevalent at this time. We have chosen to be here and to be a part of this 'battle'. ARE YOU UP FOR IT? We are faced with the challenge of taking on the fight for freedom, justice and human rights for all, peace on earth and health for the planet. It is an awesome responsibility and an urgent one. Not one of us can afford to sit back and leave it to somebody else. Its time to wake up and get moving! And it is up to us old hippies to give the young ones the benefit of our experience and wisdom. They will have to save their world, if it is going to be saved, but we can give them a hand while we are still here. At this time we face a new Dark Age which comes upon us by stealth and by the steady erosion of all of our freedoms. The Global Stage is "set up" all around us with props and characters designed to further the ends of a select few, at the expense of the human rights and freedoms of all, and which threatens the very survival of planet and species. There is economic slavery and "usury" on a grand scale. There are shocking abuses of human rights and breaches of International Law leading what seems to be the sanctioning of outright, unprovoked attack by one hostile nation upon another. War has become "big business" and the human suffering associated with it has become 'inconsequential' to those who aim for power and global domination. We see prosperous nations enslaving less prosperous ones in debt that can never be repaid and thereby holding them in third world conditions, including poverty and famine. This is akin to global economic cannibalism. We see torture, abduction, unlawful imprisonment, the abuse of refugees by locking them away for years in detention camps, the torture of prisoners of war, wholesale slaughter of many species, the logging of old growth forests for woodchip and pollution problems threatening various habitats. We see pollution leading to extensive damage to the ozone layer and increased risk of health problems including cancer. We have global warming which has already resulted in the melting of the polar ice caps and severe and unpredictable weather conditions. This will inevitably lead to crop failures, droughts, fires, famines and sinking of parts of our landmasses, as well as the extinction of some species (especially polar bears). Remember - extinction is forever. We have denial of the truth on many levels, including that relating to scientific evidence. In many cases falsification of scientific studies are undertaken when the results threaten commercial profits. We have wars over oil and also threats of violence, imprisonment or actual murder directed towards those who try to bring to public attention available energy sources which are safe for the environment and/or free. We have a pharmaceutical industry that is appalling in its disregard for human life and human health, while alternative healing modalities are either ridiculed or outlawed, especially if directed towards curing currently 'incurable' conditions (like cancer). We eat unsafe food, we anoint our bodies with unsafe products, and we have unsafe genetic modified products on the shelf. As a result we face increasing obesity, neurological problems, skin rashes, vision problems and baldness and much, much worse. We have a whole cocktail of unsafe chemicals in our drinking water, and the soil in which our crops grow are now depleted of vital nutrients and minerals needed for adequate human growth and development. We cannot rely on government authorities or regulation to protect us from harmful products and policies. Chemical and germ warfare has been going on for at least 50 years and this has no doubt been responsible for the new killer diseases that were previously unheard of. Mind control and psychic warfare is becoming much more prevalent. We see unprecedented corruption in government and the deliberate tactic of religious difference used to promote instability and fear/terror. People are being controlled and manipulated in many ways, both consciously (as in TV, advertising, consumerism etc) as well as subliminally and via means of propaganda and fear. Election tampering is rife and looks like continuing without interruption into the rest of the millennium, and as such has already made a mockery of democracy and democratic process. If I have forgotten something, please feel free to add to the above list. We have a couple of options. We could sit and be helpless and powerless in the face of all of the above, and whatever worse may be lurking around the next corner (and it is sure to be there!) Or we could just sit in front of the telly and computer and think we'd rather pretend the whole thing isn't really happening (at least until such time as they start coming after us, our loved ones or threatening our little piggy banks). Or we could start taking individual and collective responsibility for making one hell of a noise and never giving up until we change the status quo. We have the option of boycotting certain companies and hitting them where it hurts (certainly their conscience doesn't). We have the option of linking all the small activist groups into united actions aimed at ending warfare and globalism. We can take it to the streets or we can sit on our bums. To do nothing is also a decision. So please do something… Please take action at whatever level you can manage. If you don't, who will? If you need help and support, ask and it will be given to you. The stakes are too high to sit back and expect someone else to do it for you. Be bold. Have courage. Be out-there. You know I love the young hippies and I truly hope their lives will be filled with as much Magic as ours have been...the key is a simple one - you get out of life only what you put into it, so put in heaps of LOVE and may the Universal Force be with you.

Thanks guys - Just think how amazing it must have been for us adventurous souls to have been given the opportunity of coming back to the mother earth at a time like this? Mind you, I was doubly lucky because I was alive and kickin' in the 60's too. But now - whoa - what is happening now is beyond belief and if hippies were ever needed, She needs us now! I hope enough people realise that even if they are not into compassionate action for others, their own lives will be impacted in horrific ways in the very near future. Even selfish people should wake up and smell the bad aroma... It's coming on us very quickly. Its almost overpowering the extent of 'darkness' in those who are trying to control the planet (think governments and multinational corporations). Suddenly we can't think of ourselves (our countries) as 'the good guys' anymore. Its time to look in the mirror and see the truth - then we can change it! If ordinary people like us don't act, all I can say is god help us all. I am a positive, optimistic person - I really am - but the time has come when we are almost beyond the point of no-return in so many ways. If we can even just pick one thing, one issue, that we feel passionately about, and make that our own, we can create a huge amount of change individually or as a group. The determination of good people is needed now. I hope people realise that...
I'd like to help, but I disagree with just about everything you said. So I won't wish you luck... but do what you think is best. At least you're not apathetic.
This makes me just wanna' pick up my rucksack and wonder my life through the way as if something is waiting for me. I better go and get that "something", we all better go and get it because nothing is waiting for sure. Better give the TV news some colours saying "young people, old people and all kinds of people are rising again" I can't make people join to make a bigger change just as someone can't make me not want to join if there's not even a hiding though of free will to participate. But at least make our own world as we've always made when everyone won't be in to changing their own actions, which make sense when we are together a threat to human stupidity and hate. peace out!

And Soft Parade...I think we do need to rise up, all of us...I just don't want people to live with their heads buried in the sand thinking everything is ok, when its not. Things are really NOT OK. There is far too much suffering in the world that is totally unnecessary. We need to care about our fellow humans and not stupid flags and boundaries and religions. We are humans, we are brothers and sisters...we need to love eachother and compassionately help eachother in any way we can. Until destruction blows up the sand there'll be nothing left to hide in. Makes me wonder how long we'll be going in that endless circle of same mistakes. I'm not surprised we're called dreamers but hey dreams have made us free. It's the International Women's day today (8 March). The day women got their rights to vote. What a dream in the 18th century, now as obvious as having a job. It just tells that things will prehaps later sound so obvious when they are accomplished while now very much impossible. i like the taste of the chemicals. seriously though i think your right. the globalisation of the world needs to be brought to a standstill in a true sense of wonder and forgiving not known since the dark ages of time, we need to stand up and fight a fight not fought since the fighters fought the fighting, we must pursue our goals as human beings, human spirits in the other world, and bring about a change in this life, a change for our breatheren, united we must stand and fight the fight of the fighters we must fight, to bring about a new love, a new order, a joy division in this sad, sad world. thank you. yes.
You are all on the right track... Light the spark of the fire within...then fan the flames... Enlightenment awaits in a blaze of ingenuity, courage and expression. Excuse me while I kiss the sky...and then watch while I kick up some dirt. You know why most human beings are so depressed, so miserable, so stressed out? Because we are not free. And because we have never expressed the truth about who we really are! We have let go of our freedom for the sake of comfort and possessions. Our debts own us. Our possessions own us. Our superfluous responsibilities own us. Our masks own us. Our desires own us. They have captured our attention, and now we focus it upon inconsequential rubbish, so that our astounding innate powerful nature is trickling down the drain day in, day out. We are caged tigers. We are domesticated wolves. We are eagles grovelling in the dirt. We are taught to obey, not to make waves, not to think like individuals, not to be different, not to be strange, not to be unique. Reclaim your own power to be and then be true to who you really are. Do not play small. Do not buy into helplessness. Do not pretend to be less than you truly are. If one of you were to recognise the power of your real nature and act upon what you know to be right and true, the world would change in the blink of an eye. If we don't act soon, people like us will be hunted down like criminals. They fear anyone who is truly free and empowered and unable to be bought and sold or anaesthetised or hypnotised. Cherish every special, unique thing that makes you you and help it to grow and expand onward to infinity. Then we have a hope, and the dreams we are here to dream can begin to manifest for the betterment of all.
