I watched it saturday and i was quite desapointed cuz they were always talking about a kit of the best 60's music. It was like a Time Life infopub ! But i saw a video live of Jimi Hendrix and that was awesome !
Nope, it looked like a pretty small indoor stage. I saw only bits and pices of it...but the Doors performance sucked ass. They sounded liket hey were in a tin can and, other than the keys player, weren't playing their instruments... From what I saw, it was pretty cool, but it seemed like they showed more of the poppy stuff of the day rather than the real rockin' stuff.
its was ok except the hosts were horrible, at one point the lady host asked what the moody blues where known for, and they played a lot of footage over again and again, like stuff from the haight-ashbury...but other than that it wasnt bad and some of the live performaces were cool
yeah I saw that last night it was just on in the backround, thursday night i think it was the grateful dead movie was on it was good but it kept getting interupted by the hosts says " the grateful dead loved public television so you should too and give us 150$ for a grateful dead cd"
i watched both the 60's experience and the Dead movie. i enjoyed the shows but the people askin for money had no clue about either of the programs and got annoying fast. FYI I believe the Doors performance was from the Ed Sullivan Show.
i hope some people did, pbs rocks and needs the money! but i was very disapointed with the 60s thing, way to pop. the dead concert was cool and ive seen a phish concert too. pbs has some good shows.
