I was just lazying around on a sunday afternoon and I happen to come across this film called the 'The Origin of Aids' by Peter Chappell & Catherine Peix on the the sundance film channel. It absolutely made me sick to my stomach and red with rage. I had learned through this film, for the first time, that AIDs/HIV was man-made. It claimed, based on Edward Hoopers theory, which links the onset of AIDS to a mass polio vaccination in the 1950's when nearly a million Africans were injected with an experimental vaccine derived from monkey organs. If anyone else has seen this film, I'd like to know what you thought of it, and if you believe in this theory.
I've heard the wide-spread theory that AIDS originated in monkeys and somehow crossed the species boundary to humans around that time. That could explain a lot of things. Oh the folly of mankind....

I think i saw this, or most of it anyway. It was really interesting... but it seemed like nothing was really proven, except that NOTHING CAN BE PROVEN. towards the end the narrator guy was bringing up contradicting quotes from one of the scientists, and all it really showed was that we don't what the hell is true. whether they used chimps' blood and organs to cultivate the vaccine or not... though it seems very likely that they did. and well... i wouldn't put it past ppl to try to ethnically cleanse a nation. but it also could have been accidental- like they did give the african's aids, but not purposely. *shrug* i really don't know... i would like to see the entire movie though.
I'm not sure if you can purchase it, I've looked everywhere including amazon.ca. But, there is a great book that inspired the documentary, Its called The River: A Journey to the Source of HIV and AIDS by Edward Hooper.
allegedly it passed over from monkeys to humans in Africa, and then was brought to North America by a promiscuous gay flight attendant, who continued to frequent bath houses after being infected. The theory in the first post seems possible for sure. I believe once they traced the virus back, they determined the first AIDS cases were actually in the 50's, but they thought it was just an odd form of cancer.

True And while the original virus was certainly of primate origin, it was then changed and altered to affect and strangle the human immune system. It's hard to believe but Kissinger believed the greatest threat to the United States wasn't the Russians and Nuclear war but a population explosion among third world nations. h
That pure bull poopy! The aids virus was created by the US government to decrease the gay population in america. Full supportive documention of this theory available upon request, but i suggest u do your own research so you arent just repeating my theories.
