Two Bogart movies come to mind. "Casablanca" because Rick can't have Ilsa, the one woman he fell for, as she is married. Yet he sends her off with her husband, Victor Lazlo, before he is arrested by the Nazi's in Morocco. The other is "The African Queen" with Katherine Hepburn. Poor ole drunken Charlie has to take the strait-laced English missionary Rose away from the village that was destroyed by the Germans in WW1. At one point Rose dumps Charlies stash of alcohol into the river the Queen sails upon. Eventually they fall in love and marry.

    3 more that I like:
"A Star is Born". Not the Streisand or Lady Gaga remake, which are rather sickening, but the 1937 original with Janet Gaynor. Farm girl comes to Hollywood and does great.
"Shakespeare in Love" Paltrow shows off her sexy body and turns William's life upside down when he sees her. The last scene when she walks up on shore in America cements the film.
"Jerry Maguire". Yep, because of the way Rod and Marcee Tidwell show their love for each other. Oh and the lines at the end where Jerry says to Dorothy in front of all those desperate women "You complete me." with Dorothy's response of "You had me at hello."
