That's a nice old bridge, I would love to see it restored so it doesn't go to ruin.

This was taken from my kitchen window this past summer. The area still needs some work, that is going to be where my garden is going. I guess I should plant enough for company, Lol. IMG_20250717_184650408.jpg

Not real flamboyant but impressive nonetheless
On the ground is the single Hoverter and Sholl box huckleberry plant which covers 10 acres and is estimated to be 1,200 to 1,300 years old.
The nearby Losh Run box huckleberry plant is estimated to be 13,000 years old, older than the giant sequoias.

A place I like to explore with my dog, not to far away, maybe 45 min drive but I love the deep rockery, abit of history, it actually got used as a place of worship back In the day :)

As a former forester trying to identify the trees from the dead leaves…I can find a few red oak leaves and yellow birch logs on the ground?

You are correct. I also have a lot of hemlock, white pine, white oak, ash, sugar maple, shagbark hickory, poplar and a bunch of others that I haven't had time to identify yet. If I have questions, now I know who to ask, lol. If you don't mind if course. :)
